The results are creative\, beautiful\, inspiring and good storytelling!\nJoin SIFTMedia and Community Partners: BlackStar\, Blue Stoop and cinéSPEAK for the GOOD GRIEF Film Project Preview Screening.\nThe screening event is hosted by Vibemistress Stephanie Renée. The evening also includes a performance by renowned singer and poet Ursula Rucker\, the poet’s mentor for this project.\nThere will be a post-screening Q&A with the filmmakers\, poets and Ursula. Doors open at 7pm with a pre-screening Mixer and refreshments. Or stay for post-screening Reception and refreshments\, or both!

Under the theme of Craft Works\, the symposium examines the work of making things\, craft practice as labor\, craft’s relationship to the needs of working people\, and the power of craft to enact transformative work through communities. Hear lectures discussing craft’s role in building community\, participate in a presentation highlighting three major Korean art shows in Philadelphia\, and shorter talks from emerging scholars. \nThe Craft Works Symposium pays tribute to gallerists Ruth and Rick Snyderman for their important contributions to the Philadelphia craft community and their celebrated Snyderman-Works Galleries.
