DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the fourth installation of Afromation Avenue in the Kensington neighborhood!\n\n\nAfromation Avenue is a Philadelphia-based community street art founded by two Philadelphia educators\, Brittni Jennings and Kristin Kelly. This initiative collaborates with local artists and communities to create positive affirmation signs inspired by neighborhood stories\, history\, and identity.\n \nAs a part of Councilmember Lozada’s Office\, Mural Arts Philadelphia\, and Impact Services Heart of Kensington Creates (HOKC) initiative\, Afromation Avenue installed its fourth iteration of curated\, positive affirmation street signs in the Kensington community.\n___________________ \n“We hope to create spaces for reflective thought and conversation while honoring the cultural identity of each community we share space with.” \n\nWe invite you to join us as we reflect on our journey\, hear from our collaborating artists\, and be the first to experience our new instalation! \nNote: This is an outdoor event.
