DESCRIPTION:Join Fairmount Park Conservancy as we help refresh the gardens at Johnny Sample (Cobbs Creek) Recreation Center!\n\nDate\nTuesday\, September 29 \n\n\n\nTime\n9:00 am – 12:00 pm \n\n\n\nLocation\nJohnny Sample (Cobbs Creek) Recreation Center \n280 Cobbs Creek Pkwy\, Philadelphia\, PA 19139 \n\n\n\n\n\nJoin Fairmount Park Conservancy for a Community Volunteer Workday! \nJoin us on Tuesday\, September 29th\, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM as we help refresh the gardens at Johnny Sample (Cobbs Creek) Recreation Center with watering\, weeding\, and trash pickup activities. \nWe’ll provide all necessary tools\, supplies\, and materials for the workday\, including gloves. \nWe look forward to working with you! \n  \nEVENT TIMELINE: \n9:00 AM – Volunteer check-in\n9:10 AM – Project overview & tool safety \n9:20 AM – Begin workday \n11:45 AM – Wrap-up workday\n12:00 PM – Big thank you & group photo! \n  \nMEETING LOCATION: walking entrance\, 280 Cobbs Creek Pkwy\, Philadelphia\, PA 19139 \n  \nKNOW BEFORE YOU GO:\n\n\nIn general\, please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.\n\n\nSturdy\, closed-toe shoes like boots or sneakers are required (no ballet flats\, flip-flops\, or sandals).\n\n\nWe strongly recommend wearing long pants that cover your ankles and long sleeves to protect your arms.\n\n\nPlease bring a reusable water bottle. We will provide jugs for refilling.\n\n\nVolunteers are also required to wear gloves while working. Gloves will be provided\, but you are also welcome to bring your own.\n\n\nYou may also want to consider wearing a hat or sunglasses.\n\nThere is street parking available.\n\n\n\nINCLEMENT WEATHER PROTOCOL:\nThis workday will take place in light rain.
