SUMMARY:Motivos Environment Edition Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the unveiling of Motivos Environment Edition!\n•	Readings\n•	Multi-media presentations\n•	Dinner\n•	Networking!\n•	Motivos Merch!\n\n\nCelebrate the launch of the Motivos Environment Edition – focused on the power and importance of the environment! \nJoin Motivos Wednesday\, August 16th as we celebrate and honor the young creatives published in our Environment edition. Dinner\, performances\, networking\, speakers\, merch\, and more! Get inspired to explore what the environment means to you and others\, and what you can do for it! \nWe’re excited to share this edition after many months of hard work and dedication! Motivos T-shirts will be available. FREE with a two-year subscription. FREE for team members. FREE for student performers. Some will also be raffled and sold directly at the event! \nAbout Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership (TTF): We are all about connecting our watershed residents and communities to their creeks! Through hands-on education\, stewardship\, restoration\, and advocacy\, we empower our constituents to take care of and improve the impaired waterways across our 30 square miles. Healthy watersheds support healthy communities. Across the TTF Watershed\, we implement programs that educate neighbors and stakeholders about clean water issues and how we can all make a difference in our own backyards\, parks\, and communities. \nThe River Alive! Learning Trail is an exciting way for families to enjoy green space together while engaging with the natural environment all around them in Tacony Creek Park! Six benches and animal sculptures living along Cayuga Street in Juniata Park connect you to Tacony Creek: fox\, fish\, turtle\, heron\, water snake\, and a river otter. English/Spanish bilingual signage is displayed for families and young children to learn about water\, the animals\, and the local watershed. Each sculpture includes an interactive water feature (a spout for the water to flow down) and an animal song\, written by City Love and accessed via a QR code\, intended to show that the animals are our neighbors and part of the diverse urban community. This environmental education and playful learning experience is based on the River Alive exhibit at the Independence Seaport Museum on a neighborhood scale. \nKeep scrolling to see snippets from the Environment edition and what the shirts look like! \nAbout Motivos: Motivos helps youth find their voices to determine their destinies. It is the nation’s largest bilingual magazine with youth-generated content. Founded in 2006 in Philadelphia\, PA\, it was the only media outlet with high school student staffers to gain accreditation to cover the DNC in 2016. Motivos nurtures self-esteem\, encourages purpose-driven career exploration and channels goal-setting behaviors through engaging youth with content centered on Life\, Culture\, College and Careers. The publication reaches 90\,000 readers quarterly in 42 states and four countries. Its related youth empowerment programs and workshops have engaged with over 32\,000 youth in direct programming and mentorship.
