SUMMARY:Frankford Boat Launch Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Community Cleanup Event with Recreational Water Vessel Recycling\n\n\nCome out to Frankford Boat Launch for a community cleanup! (Plus water vessel recycling event!) \nThis cleanup is hosted by United by Blue\, and supported by GreenFi with local partners Riverfront North and The Philadelphia Water Department! \nThis community cleanup is a chance for individuals in the greater Philadelphia area to go come together to clean along the Delaware River. More details to come! \nAll cleanup gear (gloves\, pickers\, & trash bags) will be provided\, but feel free to bring your own gloves if preferred. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes. Lastly\, be sure to bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. 💧A water cooler will be available for refills. \nVolunteering for this cleanup event will not only contribute to a cleaner river\, it will also give you the opportunity to win some United by Blue gear! We will celebrate our work with a complimentary snack after the cleanup. \n \nParking Information: There will be free parking available to all. Park in the boat launch lot and find the large United by Blue tent to check in! \nAddress: 5501 Tacony St\, Philadelphia\, PA 19137 (Mapquest\, Google Maps) \n \nA little bit about our partners: \nGreenFi is committed to keeping your money away from fossil fuels. With GreenFi you have the option to fund the planting of a tree with every purchase\, cash back on sustainable purchases\, and carbon offsets for your gas purchases. Learn more and become a member here. \nRiverfront North Partnership‘s mission is to complete and sustain the Riverfront North Greenway along the Delaware River by connecting the community\, cultivating stewards\, and sharing diverse opportunities for everyone to enjoy their parks and trails. \nThe Philadelphia Water Department is commited to Green City\, Clean Waters making our neighborhoods greener\, more vibrant places to live and creating a healthier\, more sustainable Philadelphia. Their plan is to reduce pollution and stormwater entering the sewer system under our feet in a way that also enhances the spaces where we live\, work\, and play. \nUnited by Blue is a mission driven outdoor lifestyle company with a promise to remove one pound of trash from oceans and waterways for every product sold. They have removed over 5.3 MM pounds of trash since 2010. \nWe cannot wait to see you at the cleanup!
