DESCRIPTION:Get hands-on help with funding opportunities for environmental justice projects at our Community information & engagement meeting!\n\n\nEnvironmental Justice Grants for Community Organizations\n \nNeed funding for your community-based EJ project? Need Capacity Building Resources?\n\nWant to learn about the resources to advance work in Justice 40 communities?\n\n Join us in Philadelphia on Friday\, June 28 for information about new grant opportunities! \n\nDoes your organization work on environmental concerns related to air or water quality\, stormwater issues\, improving food access\, local cleanup projects\, illegal dumping activities\, healthy housing\, toxin remediation\, or other efforts to address environmental injustices in your community? \nAre you looking for ways to fund your work that don’t require lengthy and complicated grant applications? Funding to support assessment and planning\, as well as implementation? \nIf you answered YES to any of these questions\, this event is for you! \nThe Green & Healthy Homes Initiative (GHHI) and representatives from the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Region 3 staff are launching GHHI’s EPA Region 3 Thriving Communities Grantmaking (TCGM) program on Friday\, June 28 from 11 am-2 pm in Philadelphia. \nThis informational gathering is intended for community-based EJ leaders working in nonprofits\, local government entities\, tribal governments\, Native American organizations\, and public and private universities and colleges to obtain information and guidance about these important funding opportunities. \n\n\nIn August\, GHHI’s TCGM program will begin accepting applications to fund more than 170 eligible EJ projects in historically disinvested communities throughout EPA’s Region 3 (includes Delaware\, District of Columbia\, Maryland\, Pennsylvania\, Virginia\, West Virginia\, and 7 federally recognized tribes). Click here for more information. \nProjected Award Levels: \n\n60 Tier I subgrants: 1 year up to $150\,000 assessment projects\n51 Tier II subgrants: 1-2 years up to $250\,000 planning projects\n50 Tier III subgrants: 2 years up to $350\,000 project development projects\n\n\n10 Noncompetitive subgrants will be for 1 year up to $75\,000 for severely capacity-constrained communities (selected by the Advisory Board)\n\n \nPlease email us at ThrivingCommunities@ghhi.org if you have any questions or want additional information. \n\n\n*Lunch will be provided to all who attend.*
