DESCRIPTION:This month we are partnering with Small Things Philly to help prep and serve food!\n\n\nJust an FYI VU Crew we have a second location with SACCPhilly in a separate sign up! \nFor this event – you have to also register through: https://app.vomo.org/opportunity/emmanuel-ministry \n \nAre you ready to make a difference in our community? Small Things Philly cooks and serve a free\, hot lunch every Saturday morning to approximately 60-100 guests. Volunteers help prepare food in the kitchen under the lead chef\, plate and serve the meal\, and clean up. No previous cooking experience necessary! \nThey also have one of our Small Things Markets on site that serves as a small food pantry\, which operates at the same time as the meal. neighbors every other Saturday morning (9 AM – 12 PM) with a generous box of fresh produce and other healthy food selections. \n \nOur group will help set up\, unload trucks\, organize food\, and distribute items. \nEvent Rundown: \nMorning Shift \n\n8:40-8:45am: VU arrives\n8:45-9:00am: Volunteers Arrive and Check In\n9:00-10:15am: Announcements from Small Things Philly\n10:15-11:00pm: Working it\n\nLunch Shift \n\n10:40-10:45am: VU arrives\n10:45-11:00am: Volunteers arrives\n11:00-11:15: Announcements from Small Things Philly\n11:15-1:00pm: Working it\n\n1PM – ?: Afterjawn (to be announced) \nParking details: They validate parking at Liberty Place Parkway garage\, at 17th St. and Ludlow. \nSepta: A few blocks from Center City Broad Street Line \nClothing requirements: Closed toe shoes and tie back long hair \n \nWe can’t wait to volunteer with you! \nQuestions?
