DESCRIPTION:Exploring 6 diasporic poets lives and work. We will be responding with original writings; compiling work to produce a zine and performance\n\n\nWednesdays starting Jan 14th-Feb 18th. Performance on Sunday Feb 22nd \nONLY 18 Seats! for youth 13-18 years old. all levels welcome. \n \nWe will be exploring 6 diasporic poets lives and work. \nWe will be responding with original writings compiling work to produce a zine and performance. \nWe will be partnering with 3 other Philadelphia youth visual artists to construct original pieces of the 6 poets we are studying. \nAudio of Performances will be recorded and on display with the gallery show from Feb-April in the gallery. \n \nParticipants will receive \n*personalized notebooks \n*writing utensils \n*healthy snack & tea for each session \n*writing and performance techniques \n*grounded in the lineage of black and brown poets \n*Gallery opening show \n$200 for total series and performance. or 3 payments of $83. We’ll discuss how we can incorporate some practices from Cuba into Philly’s agricultural landscape. \nThere will be a presentation by @dazraine_ & @nourishwithnaeemah.
