DESCRIPTION:Join us Nov. 8th! Working with Love Your Park to do some cleaning around the Glendinning Rock Garden\n\n\nJoin the Volunteering Untapped Team on Saturday\,Nov 8th\, for our event! \nOur partner this month is Love Your Park. They are a collaboration between Fairmount Park Conservancy\, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation\, and Philadelphia’s Park Friends Network. They work together to support communities in activating Philly’s neighborhood parks and watershed natural areas\, with a special focus on inviting Philadelphians to get involved by volunteering. Their mission is to change the culture of littering\, building connections\, and restoring trust and beauty to our city\, one block at a time. \nWhat will we be doing on Saturday\, Nov. 8th? \n\nTrash pickup along stairs\, trails\, and rock features\nLeaf bagging from the stone steps\nClipping any overgrowth from trails\n\n \nNotes ahead of the event! \n\nWear clothes that are comfortable and suitable for the weather\, since this event takes place outside and inside\nPlease wear closed toed shoes\nA waiver will be sent out with the reminder email for you to sign once you have placed a reservation on Eventbrite!\n\n \nParking & Transportation \nParking will generally be street parking. There is also a small lot outside the Lemon Hill Mansion. Right now\, streets in and around the park are being repaved\, which could impact availability. Additionally\, Lemon Hill is easy to access from the Schuylkill Trail\, the Girard Ave trolley\, and routes 48\, 49\, and 32 for anyone not driving. \n \nAfterjawn \nJoin us after the event at a local bar to wind down and hang out! \nA note about cancellations: If your schedule changes and you can no longer make it\, please email volunteeringuntappedphl@gmail.com ASAP to let us know.
