SUMMARY:Farm Philly's Agriculture Resource Center - Grand Opening!
DESCRIPTION:Farm Philly is pleased to announce that the GRAND OPENING of the new Agriculture Resource Center (ARC) will be on Earth Day\, Wednesday\, April 22\, from 5-8 pm at the Fairmount Park Horticultural Center\, 90 N Horticultural Drive. We will be thanking everyone who supported this project along the way at the event \n\n\n\nThe ARC represents a major milestone in the implementation of Philadelphia’s first Urban Agriculture Plan\, Growing from the Root (2023)\, and is the Plan’s first capital project. Designed as a free and accessible public good\, the ARC provides equitable access to tools\, materials\, training\, and cultural knowledge for residents engaged in community gardening\, farming\, orchard care\, tree stewardship\, and other public land-based projects.\n\n\n\nSpecifically\, the ARC offers (1) an outdoor skill-sharing classroom\, (2) a tool-lending library for agriculture and land stewardship\, and (3) a public compost and mulch delivery program\, all of which are available through free membership. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with Farm Philly staff\, learn how to become members\, explore upcoming programs\, and celebrate the launch of a transformative public resource dedicated to community agriculture and environmental stewardship.\n\n\nPlease RSVP here if you would like to attend.
