DESCRIPTION:Join VU PHL help Global Citizen prep for MLK’s Day of Service!\n\n\nGlobal Citizen is non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting civic engagement\, community volunteering\, civic responsibility\, and sustained active citizenship among diverse groups\, particularly young people. Global Citizen promotes democracy building\, voter education and participation\, locally and globally. We bring together people of all ages and backgrounds to build diverse partnerships through serving others\, thus realizing how much more we have in common than our difference. \n \nWhat we will be doing on Saturday\, January 10th \, 10AM – 12 PM: \nVolunteers will help bundle pallets of t-shirts into bundles requested by King Day organizers for their volunteers. It involves unpacking boxes of shirts and repacking bags and boxes of specific size breakdowns and labeling them for organizations to pick up later that weekend. \n \nNotes ahead of the event! \n\nRecommended Dress: Casual\, gloves recommended\nAfter volunteering\, we will go to a local bar/restaurant for a celebratory afterjawn!\n\n \nParking & Transportation \n\nParking: Free street parking on 15th St\, W Montgomery St\, W Norris St and 16th St. Entrance is located on the north side of the building off 15th St.\n\n\nSEPTA: 0.2 miles from Cecil B.
