DESCRIPTION:Are you a minority owner of a small or micro business with legal questions?\n\n\nCamden-based Volunteer UP Legal Clinic is offering business law workshops with the possiblilty of follow-up pro bono legal services. \nOn Wednesday\, January 17\, from 4 to 6 pm\, volunteer attorneys who are experts in the field will be presenting and answering questions at Subaru Headquarters in Camden. \nTopics to be covered in two one-hour sessions will be determined by the legal needs of participants. We often see labor & employment issues; basic formation\, including choice of entity & registration; protecting the business; contract management\, drafting\, and/or disputes; negotiation; intellectual property\, with particular emphasis on trademark; privacy policies; and employment practices including\, but not limited to\, the use of independent contractors\, handling issues with former\, current\, or prospective employees. \nUpon registration\, you will receive an email asking about your area(s) of concern. You will also be invited to pose general questions ahead of time. \nWe hope you can join us!
