SUMMARY:Singles Mosaic Mezuzah Making
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun and meaningful mezuzah making workshop\, facilitated by the talented artist and Tribe 12 Fellow (’19)\, Danielle Abrams!\n\n\nJoin us for a fun and meaningful mezuzah making workshop facilitated by talented artist and Tribe 12 Fellow Danielle Abrams (’19) of HamsaMade! This event is designed for people in their 20s and 30s who are dating in Philly’s Jewish community — a creative and engaging way to connect with your heritage while meeting new people! \nDuring the workshop\, participants will have the opportunity to craft their own mezuzah\, a symbol of Jewish tradition and protection for the home. Danielle will guide you through the artistic process\, providing insight into the cultural significance of the mezuzah and helping you infuse your creation with personal meaning. Since this event takes place close to Earth Day\, we encourage participants to bring something to upcycle and incorporate into their mezuzah design. \nWhether you’re an artist or a novice\, this workshop is tailored to all skill levels. It’s a chance to express your creativity\, learn about the rich history behind the mezuzah\, and connect with other like-minded singles in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. \nCost: $25 to make and take one mezuzah. A light meal and drinks will be provided. We never want cost to be prohibitive to attending an event — please reach out to danielle@tribe12.org for a financial accommodation\, no questions asked. \nNote: This event is geared towards men who date women and women who date men. To learn more about our LGBTQIA+ matchmaking offerings\, visit tribe12.org/matchmaking and save the date for our next queer singles event — a picnic the afternoon of Saturday\, July 13th in Center City! \n________________________________ \nTribe 12 connects people in their 20s/30s to Jewish life and community in Philadelphia today so they will choose to stay connected tomorrow. We welcome people who identify as Jewish\, whose partner is Jewish\, or who are exploring Judaism. \nTribe 12 strives to host inclusive\, accessible events that enable all individuals to engage fully. If you require any accommodations please review our accessibility page and contact us with any questions at info@tribe12.org.
