This event is a celebration of artistic trans creativity\, community\, and joy. \nTrans Art Mart is dedicated to its mission of creating safe\, collaborative\, and creative spaces that increase visibility and opportunities for local trans\, non-binary\, and gender-expansive artists and makers. The Winter Trans Art Market embodies this mission and aims for: \n– Artistic Diversity: Explore an exciting range of artistic mediums\, from paintings to photography\, digital art\, and more. Each vendor’s art is a testament to the rich and diverse experiences of the trans and gender-expansive community.\n– Community Engagement: Interact directly with the artists and gain insights into their creative processes\, encouraging community building and connection.\n– COVID-19 Safety: Your health and safety are paramount to us. In accordance with our mission to protect our community\, we will require masks and proof of vaccination for entry. For community members unable to be vaccinated due to medical conditions\, on-site rapid COVID-19 tests will be provided by Trans Art Mart.\n– Reparations: As part of our commitment to supporting our community\, there is a suggested entry fee of $5 for the event\, though no one is turned away for lack of funds. A percentage of the proceeds from this fee will go toward community-run reparation groups that support Black trans people in accessing housing and cars\, furthering our dedication to equity and justice.\n– Harm Reduction: Trans Art Mart will also have Narcan and fentanyl testing strips onsite for attendees to access\, as one of our core beliefs is having access to life-saving medication and safer using materials. \nTrans Art Mart’s Winter Trans Art Market is not only a craft market; we aim to cultivate an experience that celebrates the diverse voices and talents within the trans and gender-expansive community. \nJoin us on December 10th for a day of creativity\, community\, and celebration.
