We will have snacks\, available. \nIf under the age of 18 you MUST have your Parent/Gaurdian/Caregiver Present (and not in the car) after all we do meet inside of an Art Community Center. This is also their policy as well. Parents are invited to create art too.  \nOur #1 Rule since June 2022 is “No Drama.” We do a great job in this area\, especially since most drama is unhealthy & see as wrong. This is important to us.

We are excited to welcome a Community Celebrity Teacher “Barb Baur\,” is a Philadelphia based artist\, maker and educator. She primarily makes art jewelry\, has been known to repair musical instruments and sail the East Coast of the U.S. \nBarb’s artwork is in traditional gold/silversmithing techniques combined with modern fabrication tools like CAD (computer aided design) and 3D printing. Drawing on her time on a sailboat\, Barb’s artwork is inspired by the coastal landscape\, sea life\, sailing vessels\, wind and water. Barb is the Program Manager of the TaconyLAB Community Arts Center in Northeast Philadelphia.who will be leading a creative session at the Autistic Art Coalition of Philadelphia. She attended Moore College of Art and Design where she received a BFA in 2D Fine Arts. In 2010\, she graduated with her MFA in Painting from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. \nAs an artist\, Priscilla looks towards her family\, surroundings\, and cultural heritages for guidance and inspiration. She continues to explore the issues that mean the most to her\, including Parenthood\, Environmental Justice\, the centering and uplifting of Black & Brown voices\, and Indigenous/Native/Indigenous Caribbean visibility. \nPriscilla is a MIT Solve Indigenous Communities Fellow (2024)\, recipient of the Leeway Transformation award (2024)\, “Distinguished Alumni” award from Community College of Philadelphia (2023)\, “Taino Muralist of the Year” award (2020)\, “Phenomenal Woman” award (2020)\, Leeway Art & Change grant (2017)\, “Taino Storyteller of the Year” award (2017). She also works as a freelance muralist with Mural Arts and is a painting instructor at Fleisher Art Memorial.
