DESCRIPTION:Please join us for an immersive art viewing and sound bath experience with Sound Therapy Practitioner + Recording Artist Luna Maye.\n\n\nAn early evening invitation to slow perception\, soften the nervous system\, and listen deeply. \n“Night Night” is a guided sound meditation and blue lotus tea ceremony held within Night\, Night\, a solo exhibition of new paintings by Branche Coverdale. This experience brings together fine art\, sound\, and ritual to support deep rest\, stress reduction\, and sleep readiness. \nSet among paintings that explore dreams\, out-of-body experiences\, and the quiet comforts of nighttime\, guests are invited to witness the exhibition while gently traveling inward. Image\, sound\, and sensation meet in a shared exploration of the conscious\, subconscious\, and unconscious material we often process through rest and sleep. \nThis is not a performance or a lecture. \nIt is an immersive\, deep-listening experience. \nA way of relating differently to art\, sound\, and rest. \nTHE EXPERIENCE\nThe evening unfolds in three movements: \n• Arrival + Artist Welcome\nGuests are welcomed into the gallery and invited to settle. Sara\, owner of Paradigm Gallery + Studio\, opens the evening with a brief welcome and introduces the featured artist. The artist shares reflections from their lived experience with the work\, offering context and inspiration for deep looking and personal inquiry as the collection is witnessed. \n• Sound + Blue Lotus Tea Ceremony\nLuna Maye then invites guests into relationship with their individually served cup of blue lotus tea\, offering gentle context around its traditional uses and calming properties. Satin eye masks are provided to support sensory softening and inward focus. \nGuests are guided through a 60-minute seated sound meditation using neuroscience-informed frequencies\, harmonics\, and overtones designed to support nervous system down-regulation\, stress relief\, and sleep preparation. The sound journey mirrors the inner terrain reflected in the artwork: dreams\, memory\, and the spaces between waking and sleep. \nIntegration\nThe experience closes with quiet time for integration\, allowing the body and mind to settle before re-entering the evening. \nWHAT TO EXPECT\n\nA fine-art gallery setting designed for reflection and deep listening\nArtist welcome and contextual framing of the exhibition\nIndividually served blue lotus tea\nSatin eye masks are provided to support inward attention\nA guided\, seated sound meditation led by Luna Maye\nExtended periods of sound\, stillness\, and inner imagery\nA gentle closing and integration period\n\n \nSCHEDULE\nSunday\, March 1st \n\n5:45 PM · Doors open\, arrive\, and settle\n6:00 PM · Welcome + artist reflections\n6:15 PM · Sound meditation + tea ceremony (60 minutes)\n7:15 PM · Integration and gentle close\n7:30 PM · Experience concludes\n\nPlease arrive on time to honor the shared container. \nWHAT TO BRING\n\nComfortable attire suitable for seated stillness\nA water bottle\nOptional personal layer for warmth\n\n(Yoga mats are not needed for this experience.) \nBENEFITS OF SOUND MEDITATION\n\nSupports nervous system regulation and deep relaxation\nReduces stress and mental overactivity\nEncourages brainwave states associated with rest and sleep\nSupports subconscious processing and emotional integration\nCreates space for reflection and inner clarity\n\nBENEFITS OF BLUE LOTUS TEA\n\nTraditionally used to promote calm and relaxation\nSupports stress reduction and gentle mood elevation\nEncourages an easy transition into rest and sleep\nSoftens mental chatter and sensory overstimulation\n\nABOUT THE ARTIST\nBranche Coverdale is a Philadelphia-based artist originally from Yonkers\, New York. His expressive\, playful practice blends cartoon language\, pop culture\, and urban experience\, informed by silkscreen techniques developed during his time at the Rhode Island School of Design. \nCoverdale spent several years traveling between New York and Japan as a studio assistant for Takashi Murakami. This influence continues to shape his exploration of city life\, representation\, and the blurred boundaries between reality and fiction. His work frequently employs iconic symbols and recurring motifs\, including the doppelgänger\, as invitations to consider multiple realities existing at once. \nHis recognitions include the Mural Arts Fellowship for Black Artists (2022)\, New York Times Best Illustrations (2024)\, and Best of Philly (2025). His work spans public murals\, gallery exhibitions\, and major editorial commissions\, including illustrations for The New York Times. \nACCESS + NOTES\n\nThis is a seated meditation experience\nSatin eye masks and blue lotus tea are provided\nGuests are encouraged to arrive nourished and comfortably digested\nNo prior experience with sound meditation or tea ceremony is required\nShoes will be removed before entering the practice space\nTickets are final sale and non-transferable\n\n \nNight Night is an invitation to meet rest as an art form. \nTo listen beneath language. \nTo let sleep begin before the lights go out.

SUMMARY:Martha Rich\, Keith W Greiman\, Eric Kenney\, Max Seckel Opening @ Paradigm
DESCRIPTION:Please join us as we unveil new collections from Martha Rich\, Keith Warren Greiman\, Eric Kenney\, and Max Seckel.\n\n\nMartha Rich: It’s Always Today \nParadigm Gallery + Studio is pleased to present It’s Always Today\, a solo exhibition of new paintings by Philadelphia-based artist Martha Rich. In a feast-for-the-eye display\, Rich will unveil over 200 speech bubbles\, animals\, and objects\, which illustrate the humor\, enthusiasm\, and attitude of the city and its inhabitants. In response to the current overwhelming landscape\, Rich chooses to highlight the positive resilience that continues to show up in her community every day\, represented in pithy quotes. \nPlease email info@paradigm-gallery.com to receive the Collector Preview for the upcoming exhibition It’s Always Today\, or submit your request HERE. \nIt’s Always Today will be on view on the first floor of Paradigm Gallery + Studio from December 5 – 28\, 2025. \nKeith Warren Greiman\, Eric Kenney\, and Max Seckel: No Garden \nParadigm Gallery + Studio is pleased to present No Garden\, an exhibition of illustrative paintings featuring the work of Keith Warren Greiman\, Eric Kenney\, and Max Seckel. As artists known for creating spontaneous environments marrying commotion and color\, Greiman\, Kenney\, and Seckel come together to ask the question\, “What is a garden?” Turning away from the manicured or disciplined\, these artists explore cultivation as a lived-in environment\, enhanced by the frenzy of humans and their wares. No Garden is a self-fulfilling prophecy of giving a dismal landscape a decorative title and accidentally manifesting the beauty that comes with the name. \nPlease email info@paradigm-gallery.com to receive the Collector Preview for the upcoming exhibition No Garden\, or submit your request HERE. \nAll artists will be in attendance with opportunities to view and collect artwork from 3 floors of the Paradigm Arts Building. \nThe reception is free and open to all. All artwork will be available to collect during the opening. Please email info@paradigm-gallery for any inquiries prior to the reception.

SUMMARY:An Evening of ART + FASHION + DESIGN
DESCRIPTION:Join 5 local woman-owned Philadelphia brands under one roof for an intimate evening of style\, creativity\, and connection.\n\n\nAn Evening of ART + FASHION + DESIGN \nOn October 22\, 2025\, five visionary women are coming together once again to celebrate creativity\, community\, and style in the heart of Philadelphia. This special gathering will take place at Paradigm Gallery\, the contemporary art space founded by Sara McCorriston\, and will feature a curated mix of art\, fashion\, jewelry\, and design. \nThe evening brings together: \n• Bela Shehu\, founder and designer of NINObrand \n• Parisa Abdollahi of Parisa Rugs & Décor \n• Rosa Agliata of My Italian Lifestyle \n• Angela Monaco of Angela Monaco Jewelry \n• Sara McCorriston\, co-founder of Paradigm Gallery & Paradigm Art Advisory \nThis is not the first time this collective of creatives has joined forces. Their previous collaboration sparked a memorable celebration of style and artistry that left a lasting impression on everyone who attended the sold-out event. Building on that success\, the group is excited to curate another evening where creativity collides and community thrives. \nThe Evening \nDoors open at 5:00 pm\, greeting guests with a welcome drink and inviting them into the gallery’s inspiring atmosphere. \nAt 5:30pm\, the participants will host an introductory panel discussion\, offering a glimpse into their creative processes\, inspirations\, and the shared vision behind this gathering. \nAt 6:00pm\, following the conversation\, guests will be invited to explore a curated shopping and art experience—a chance to connect with the makers\, discover new design perspectives\, and collect pieces that embody both craftsmanship and story. \n \nA Celebration of Community \nThis evening is designed as more than an exhibition. It’s a celebration of connection\, of the creative energy that runs through Philadelphia\, and of the unique experiences that emerge when art\, fashion\, jewelry\, and design are placed in dialogue with one another. \nGuests are encouraged to bring a friend (see our ‘bring a friend’ ticket option!) and step into an evening that promises discovery\, inspiration\, and lasting memories. \n \nSee you on October 22nd from 5-8pm at the Paradigm Arts Building located at 12 N. 3rd Street\, Philadelphia\, PA 19106. \nSPACE IS LIMITED. \n \nABOUT THE FOUNDERS \nAngela Monaco is a Philadelphia-based artist\, designer\, and entrepreneur who has been creating jewelry for over 20 years. SUMMARY:Watch Me Backflip Art and Meditation Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for an evening of art-making\, connection\, and meditation\, following the themes of Kelly Kozma’s solo exhibition at Paradigm\n\n\nYou are invited to an evening of connection and using artmaking as a tool of self-understanding and compassion. Picking up themes from mixed media artist Kelly Kozma’s acclaimed solo exhibition Watch Me Backflip\, we will get an inside experience of the artist’s process and explore our own creative intuition through guided meditation led by mindfulness teacher Gloria Shepard. \nDoors Open at 6:30 PM \n7:00 PM– Attendees arrive at the gallery and have 30 min to explore the gallery floors and to hear directly from the artist\, Kelly Kozma\, about her solo exhibition and massive installation. \n7:30 PM – Attendees gather on the first floor for brief introductions and a Centering Meditation led by Gloria Shepard. \nDuring the workshop we will: \nShare: \nAttendees will bring a photo or piece of ephemera representing a time of joy or comfort. We will connect with ourselves and each other by sharing about what we’ve brought\, and then sit with Kelly’s question– “What if I told you I believe in you?” \nCreate: \nUsing punched paper circles\, provided by Kelly\, and a 12” wood circle panel\, we will play with colors and patterns\, contemplating the questions\, “What if I told you I believe in you? What would you make\, create\, put out into the world?” Inspired by Kelly’s process\, questions\, by what bubbles up in us as we connect with the art around us\, and by the inner creativity arising within us\, we will each create our own temporary mandala-like piece on the panel. Afterwards\, we will share panels over tea and snacks with the opportunity to take pictures and connect with each other. \nWe will close the evening with another meditation led by Gloria\, then clear our temporary creations and take our panels and chosen punched circles home. These can be an ongoing tool\, reminding us that someone believes in us\, that we are connected through our shared experience at the event\, and to play just for the sake of play! \nSome pillows and seating will be provided\, but attendees are welcome to bring a yoga mat or something of their choosing to sit on. Dress comfy in what makes you feel good! \nSpace is limited. RSVP with tickets in advance. A wellness practice suited for all. No former meditation experience required. \nABOUT GLORIA SHEPARDAs an educator (by nature\, training\, and experience)\, Gloria’s work is to reveal and shift invisible patterns that block the path between where you are and where you want to be. Over the years\, this has taken many forms\, and those are layered into who Gloria is and how she works. Ecology\, experiential education\, classroom teaching\, mindfulness\, meditation\, emotional education and support\, parenting\, transformative work\, shadow work\, astrology\, and family constellations are some of the layers. Formal training\, studying with teachers and mentors\, books\, talks\, and retreats have given her a path. Many years of actually walking the path\, practicing and integrating the teachings through direct experience and trial and error\, have brought the teachings to life. \nABOUT KELLY KOZMAKelly Kozma is a mixed-media and fiber artist who uses the meditative process of hand embroidery as a therapeutic way of healing. Kozma is represented by Paradigm Gallery + Studio and has participated in group and solo exhibitions in Philadelphia\, as well as in art fairs during Armory Week and Art Basel in Miami. Her work has been featured on catalog covers\, in international art and travel magazines such as Afar & Create Magazine\, as well as many online publications. Her work has been purchased for many permanent collections\, including Temple University and Capital One. She has a detached studio at her home just outside of Philadelphia and enjoys the fact that her young son can create his own masterpieces alongside her while she works.

SUMMARY:Opening Reception: Kelly Kozma Solo //"Care Instructions" Group Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the opening for 2 exciting exhibitions with opportunities to collect artwork from all 3 floors.\n\n\nPlease join us as we celebrate two exciting exhibtions centered around reuse and sustainable art practices. \nArtists will be in attendance with opportunities to view and collect artwork from 3 floors of the Paradigm Arts Building. \nKelly Kozma: Watch Me Backflip \nEntering her 14th year working with Paradigm\, Kozma will be unveiling a massive culmination documenting her career and process-intensive work. The artist is celebrating her personal relationships\, archiving methods\, and resilience with a massive 22-foot-wide installation comprised of 35\,000 hand-stitched circles cut from various repurposed materials. The cosmic work titled Iguana & Myrrh\, Magma & Reef\, consists of everyday objects like greeting cards\, food packaging\, and thread expertly woven and given new life as bursts of color and pattern in the largest scale the artist has ever attempted. Kozma is purposefully engaging in a minimal-waste practice where even paper scraps and loose threads from the installation will find new life within over 20 mixed media works that will call to the large assemblage. As she stitches these lovingly collected pieces\, Kozma creates connections between the people in her life and the objects she interacts with\, inspiring mindfulness against overconsumption and emotional apathy. \nPlease email info@paradigm-gallery.com if you wish to be added to Kelly Kozma’s digital collector preview list for her upcoming exhibition. You may also submit your request HERE. \nCare Instructions: Work by Vanessa Barragão\, Allison May Kiphuth\, Nayan & Venus\, and RAIR Philly \nParadigm Gallery + Studio is pleased to present Care Instructions\, a collection of artists and makers across three continents that incorporate elements of reuse\, recycling\, and environmental awareness in their work. With intentions for sustainability\, each of these artists has developed their practice to include discarded or natural materials while engaging in active research and preservation efforts. These meticulously constructed versions of coral reefs\, woodlands\, and aviary populations inspire the obligation to take care of the environment and combat single-use material culture. The exhibition is a showcase on how powerful design and material reuse in craftsmanship can be aesthetically pleasing. The artists aren’t just actively charging the work to spread a message\, they’re putting the message into practice and showing the spectacular results. \nPlease email info@paradigm-gallery.com if you wish to be added to the digital collector preview list for the upcoming exhibition. \nThe reception is free and open to all. All artwork will be available to collect during the opening. Please email info@paradigm-gallery for any inquiries prior to the receptions. \n \nAlso on display: \nArtwork by Eustace Mamba \nArtwork by Alain Jean-Baptiste \nRead the press release here \nArtwork by Katherine Fraser \nRead the press release here \nand many more!

SUMMARY:Opening Reception for "Under the Influence"\, Curated by Ginger Rudolph
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the opening of a 2-person exhibition\, featuring the work of Eustace Mamba and Alain Jean-Baptiste.\n\n\nParadigm Gallery + Studio is pleased to present Under the Influence\, a two-person exhibition curated by writer and curator Ginger Rudolph. Rudolph believes that art has the power to document\, process\, and transform personal experiences\, which she illustrates through the work of fine artist Eustace Mamba and painter Alain Jean-Baptiste. Rudolph encourages these artists to explore deeply personal forces–family memories\, environmental traumas\, career triumphs– that have shaped their creative paths to fashion a narrative championing cultural heritage\, identity\, and self-discovery. \nEustace Mamba approaches his work as a cross-section of history\, sociology\, and psychology interwoven into eclectic collaged portraits\, cityscapes\, and reconstructed ephemera. His multidisciplinary background in photography\, graphic design\, and painting gives him the confidence to experiment with different materials and processes to assemble an expansive configuration of contemporary Black life. \nAlain Jean-Baptiste dives deep into his memory\, happily growing up in Haiti until everything changed when a 7.0 magnitude earthquake destroyed his family’s home and immobilized the country’s economic growth. \nPlease email info@paradigm-gallery.com if you wish to receive the digital collector preview list for the above exhibition. SUMMARY:Parfleche Painting Workshop with Danielle SeeWalker
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an accessible workshop painting parfleche pieces for earrings or a keychain led by Lakota artist Danielle SeeWalker.\n\n\nAn introductory course led by Húŋkpapȟa Lakȟóta artist and muralist Danielle Seewalker. During this workshop on the 2nd Floor of the Paradigm Arts Building\, attendees will learn about the patterns and techniques used in parfleche painting. At the end of the workshop\, attendees will walk away with custom earrings or a keychain made from parfleche (painted rawhide). \nNo experience is needed. All skill levels are welcome. All materials will be provided. \nThere will be two sessions for the workshops. We are offering early bird pricing to the first 5 people who sign up for each session. \nFirst Session: Saturday\, December 7th · 12:00pm – 2:00pm \nSecond Session: Saturday\, December 7th · 3:00pm – 5:00pm \nThe name “parfleche” was initially used by French fur traders and derives from the French language parer meaning “to parry” or “to defend”\, and flèche meaning “arrow”. “Parfleche” was used to describe tough rawhide shields carried by Plains Indian warriors but was later used primarily for decorated rawhide containers. Plains Indian tribes often had an abundant source of hides in the buffalo they hunted\, but\, as they were nomadic\, they had little opportunity to tan the skins. Parfleche\, or rawhide\, was prepared by cleaning and dehairing the skin and then by stretching it and allowing it to dry in the sun. This process created a stiff but durable leather that was used for many items\, including bags\, boxes\, envelopes\, and war shields. Designs historically consisted of geometric shapes and symbols in primary colors. \nToday\, many contemporary Plains Indian artists evolved the idea of parfleche by making earrings\, bracelets\, wallets\, etc (examples below). \nThis event will accompany Danielle SeeWalker’s featured collection\, which will be on display throughout the month of December. \nAbout Danielle SeeWalkerDanielle SeeWalker is Húŋkpapȟa Lakȟóta and citizen of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in North Dakota. She is a fine artist\, muralist\, writer\, activist\, and boymom of two\, based in Denver\, Colorado. Her visual artwork often incorporates the use of mixed media and experimentation while incorporating traditional Native American materials\, scenes\, and messaging. Her artwork pays homage to her identity as a Lakȟóta wíŋyaŋ (woman) and her passion to redirect the narrative to an accurate and insightful representation of contemporary Native America while still acknowledging historical events. \nAbout Paradigm Gallery + StudioParadigm Gallery + Studio® was established in 2010 by co-founders and curators\, Jason Chen and Sara McCorriston. The gallery exhibits meaningful\, process-intense contemporary artwork by emerging and mid-career artists from around the world. In 2022\, Paradigm announced the opening of its new 5-story\, 7\,000 sq. ft. home\, The Paradigm Arts Building\, in Old City\, Philadelphia. Now open to the public\, the building boasts multiple floors of exhibition space\, integrated in-house design and printmaking\, a dedicated events floor\, and art advisory offices. With this\, Chen and McCorriston expanded their vision for the greater Philadelphia arts community. The gallery is at the heart of this vision\, anchoring Paradigm’s overall mission of increasing access to the commercial art world\, supporting artists and advancing their careers\, and collaborating with like-minded partners to build a more equitable\, sustainable arts economy for all.

SUMMARY:November Featured Collections Opening Reception at Paradigm Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for First Friday to celebrate new releases from over 8 artists and view/collect on all gallery floors.\n\n\nParadigm Gallery + Studio is pleased to present three distinct collections championing craft and reinvention for CraftNOW 2024. Artists Ulla-Stina Wikander\, Yoonmi Nam\, and Andrew Jeffrey Wright have spent many years honing in on their respective crafts that incorporate the use and repetition of found materials. In a time where new objects are constantly produced with diminishing relevance and single-use purpose\, we uplift unique methods of upcycling in art that recontextualizes material to expand on larger ideas of craftsmanship\, methods of production\, and the functionality of objects. Each artist creates artwork through layering of old and new construction\, bringing new life to past pieces and not letting matter go to waste. Featured Collections: Ulla-Stina Wikander\, Yoonmi Nam\, & Andrew Jeffrey Wright will be on view on the first floor of the Paradigm Arts Building (12 N 3rd St) from November through December 1\, 2024\, with a public opening reception on Friday\, November 1 from 6:00-8:00 pm. \nPlease join us for the first in-person look at our newest collections: \nUlla-Stina Wikander: Communication \nYoonmi Nam: Generally Meant to Be Discarded \nAndrew Jeffrey Wright: Super Rare series \nRead the press release here: \nhttps://www.paradigmarts.org/blogs/news/featured-collections-ulla-stina-wikander-yoonmi-nam-and-andrew-jeffrey-wright \nAlso on display for First Friday: \nShawn Theodore: A Race of Angels \nRead the press release here: \nhttps://www.paradigmarts.org/blogs/news/shawn-theodore-a-race-of-angels \nKyle Montgomery: Crystal Mary series \nNazeer Sabree: TRF-98 series \nAndré Schulze: Pixelated Paintings \n+ \na variety of curated books and limited edition prints ready to be taken home and gifted for the holiday season. \n \nAll artwork will be available for purchase. SUMMARY:Tä: Harmonious Dynamics with Goni Shifron and Uri Hershberg
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a presentation of a participatory art piece that combines art and science.\n\n\n“Tä” \nHarmonious Dynamics: Exploring Emergent Cooperation through Participatory Art and Brain Activity \n“Tä” is an art participatory piece that emerged from joint research between Goni Shifron (artist) and Uri Hershberg (scientist). A collaboration of art and science aiming to identify the moment when individual actions merge into adaptive group dynamics. In “Tä”\, we invite the audience to be part of an immersive experience of art and have unique access and contribution to scientific research. \nTä is for 12 participants. Following simple rules\, each individual will move pebbles between piles on a table and the group will together create the dynamics of the entire population. Participating in Tä reveals large questions about harmonious dynamics that each of us can relate to our own way of interpretation (symbolic\, geographic\, sociological\, and esthetic considerations). \nFor the next presentation of Tä we will for the first time\, give some of the participants special wireless wearable headbands which can be used to measure brain activity. This event will act also as a first pilot study for an international research team studying how cooperation and synchrony emerge from the interaction of unconnected individuals. \n \nDETAILS: \nFriday\, August 30\, 2024 \nFirst Session begins at 4:30 PM*Doors open at 4:00 PM\, performance begins at 4:30 PM* \nSecond Session begins at 6:00 PM*Doors open at 5:30 PM\, performance begins at 6:00 PM* \nOpen discussion with the artist and researchers after each session. \nTickets are available for both participants and observers. If you choose a participant ticket\, we will be in touch by email with more details ahead of the event and will also send a release form since this performance will be recorded for documentation and research purposes. \nParadigm Arts Building\, 3rd Floor Gallery12 N. 3rd StreetPhiladelphia\, PA 19106 \n \nGoni Shiforn is an Israeli artist living and working in Paris. She graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in 2016. Across her own work and collaborations\, Goni explores intimate and universal stories through various mediums (installation\, performance\, photography). \nUri Hershberg is a Professor of Biology and the director of the Center for Biophysics and Quantitative Biology at the University of Haifa. He studies how complex living systems learn through interaction with their environments\, mostly\, but not always\, by studying the adaptive immune system. He tries in his research to create true stories about biology. \nHasan Ayaz is an Associate Professor at Drexel University School of Biomedical Engineering Science and Health Systems. His research is focused on unraveling the complexities of human brain functioning through mobile neuroimaging. He utilizes next-generation brain sensing technologies and neuro/physiological data analytic approaches with applications ranging from aerospace to healthcare. \nLuciano Perondi is a typeface\, graphic and game designer. He was appointed associate professor of Design at the IUAV Venice in 2018 and he is also a member of the Alpaca and Cast\, cooperatives of designers. Often within a theoretical approach\, his interests are focused on visual studies\, writing\, typography\, games and information design mostly in a design for all perspective. In particular he focuses on the empirical study of visual syntax\, also known as synsemia\, a foundational aspect of graphic design.

Rachel Yoder (Nightbitch) calls this book “brilliant and open-hearted\,” while James KA Smith (editor\, Image) writes\, “Read this if you’re a mother and an artist\, to be sure; but read this\, too\, if you’re human and hope for a different world.” \nAdmisssion includes a copy of Catherine Ricketts’s book The Mother Artist \nKids under 12 are free to attend.
