DESCRIPTION:We’re having some fun in the sun to melt the ice!\n\n\nKick off the summer by showing our neighbors how much we love them (and showing ICE they’re not welcome here)! We’re raising funds for Asian Americans United’s Communities in Solidarity Fund\, which helps detained immigrants and their families access legal support and meet basic needs. We’ve got an amazing lineup of live musicians\, local crafts for sale\, good eats from Pentridge’s rotating lineup of food trucks\, and drinks with NO ICE. 😘 More info coming soon! \nSuggested donation $25-$50 at the door (no one turned away for lack of funds\, but please remember it’s a fundraiser 💕). 100% of proceeds go to AAU’s Communities in Solidarity Fund! \nCan’t make it to the event? You can still donate HERE! \n \nMore about Pentridge Station Pop-Up \nLocated a short walk from Baltimore Avenue\, Pentridge Station is a beer garden and event space with a uniquely West Philly feel. They offer an exciting and ever-changing lineup of live music\, local food vendors\, and community events. They are a kid and dog-friendly outdoor venue with shaded seating\, lawn games\, hammocks\, bathrooms\, and leveled curb access from the street. Check out their website and their Instagram for more info! \nMore about Asian Americans United and the Communities in Solidarity Fund \nAsian Americans United (AAU) was founded in 1985 by a small group of volunteers seeking to create an organized response to rising issues of anti-Asian violence\, substandard housing\, and the need for educational services for non-English speaking Asians in the city. Since that time\, Asian Americans United’s mission has been to grow leadership in Asian American communities to build our neighborhoods and unite against oppression. \nIn 2026\, AAU launched its Communities in Solidarity Fund to fight for Asian American families detained by ICE. The current administration is purposely making it harder for immigrants to live and stay in the U.S.\, so this fund was created to resist the regime and support our neighbors. Donating to AAU’s Communities in Solidarity Fund helps immigrants and their families connect with trusted lawyers\, make preparedness plans\, and find a supportive community to help them if the worst happens. Your contributions help people survive and find a way through these attempts to tear people away from their families and communities. The needs are so large\, but we are grateful for the support you can give. We are all volunteers who share the values of courage\, open invitation\, nonviolence\, and antiracism\, and believe in the power of nonviolent direct action to slow down and impede ICE kidnappings.
