SUMMARY:Newlin Grist Mill Site Hike and Forest Bathing
DESCRIPTION:Join Newlin Grist Mill and Dee McGrath on a three-mile hike noting points of local historic interest!\n\n\nJoin us for a slow-paced\, three-mile hike with some elevation. We will hike approximately one mile to the Old Christmas Tree Farm\, noting local history along the way. Once we reach the forest\, we will spend 10 minutes quietly enjoying the sounds of nature to clear our minds. We will then head back down\, passing additional historical points of interest. Hiking boots or sturdy shoes are recommended\, and please remember to bring water.The hike will be led by Dee McGrath \nDolores (Dee) McGrathSince retiring 13 years ago\, Dee has focused on challenging herself physically and mentally. She is a long-term member and former Vice President (2021–2025) of a local hiking club\, where she currently heads the Communication Committee and serves on the hike scheduling committee. In December 2025\, she received the KTA Achievement Award for her extraordinary work on projects benefiting Pennsylvania hikers and trails.
