When a project is finished\, there is frequently fabric that is no longer needed. In the spirit of reuse\, these remnants are offered up at SHIFT throughout the year. \nAbout the Vendor\nMolly Burke of Chairloom operates at the intersection of art and sustainability\, shifting the conversation around vintage furniture and design. The Narberth-based businesswoman is proud to be part of something larger than herself. She is challenged to think bigger and join a movement of design-minded people toward sustainability and responsible choices that do not hurt the environment.

Bundles of prepared strips of fabric are provided\, allowing students to start their own rugs during the class. \nStudents are welcome to bring fabric scissors and t-shirt-like fabric (clothes\, sheets\, etc. that would otherwise be ready to recycle) if specific colors or fabrics are preferred. \nTicket price includes: \n\nPrepared strips of fabric\nInstructional and practice time\n5% off refills the night of the event\n\nRegistration\nReserve your space using the “Register Online” button above. Because of the hands-on nature of this event\, space is limited. Ages 12+ are welcome to attend. Students must be able to braid and safely use fabric scissors. \nNOTE: A minimum of 5 students is needed to run this class. \nAbout the Instructor\nChristine Bonney Goon started her adventures in rag rug making when she found herself with an abundance of worn out and stained kids clothes for which she wanted to find a creative use. Each vessel will be refilled off site with clean-burning soy and coconut wax\, then returned to the shop for pickup during the following month’s event. For additional details and pricing\, please visit their website. \nHow it Works\n\nDrop off your vessel by noon the first Wednesday of the month.\nSubmit the candle refill form. Feel free to complete this on your own or in the shop.\nVessels are filled off site.
