He translates his ideas through acrylic paint\, print illustration\, and multimedia design. His art style is heavily influenced by graffiti as well as the beauty in people and everyday objects. Amon Amir’s goal is to create an escape in this over-stimulated world. When you look at his art\, it’s almost as if we live an a utopian society where all problems cease to exist. \nDreadydee (she/her) – Dreadydee is a self taught painter located in Lehigh Valley\, Pennsylvania. She began her freelance career at an early age\, working on murals\, participating in art shows\, and also group exhibitions. Her passion for visual arts has taken her to numerous galleries up and down the east coast and internationally. Dreadydee sees her work as a purpose to give her audience an experience on everyday emotions through bold characters. Her style can be described as outlandish urban art with fun\, colorful and bold characters. She loves to experiment with textures\, colors and mixed mediums to captivate her audience and create a live sensory experience. \nel rizL (she/her) – el rizL is a Jersey grown artist with multi-cultured roots. \nKam DeLa (he/him) – Born from anime marathons\, retro video games\, and a deep love for music\, the digital art world of Kam DeLa blends color\, character\, and vision. Each piece features vibrant palettes and bold\, futuristic fashion that blur the lines between sci-fi and anime. These are characters with something to say and the confidence to say it. If expression is the treasure\, color is the key. That belief drives every palette\, pose\, and moment\, turning visuals into statements meant to inspire the inner artist in all of us. \nLindsay Kovnat (she/her) – Lindsay Kovnat paints\, draws\, and animates women and shape-shifting feline characters that unapologetically take up space\, both physically and emotionally\, in humorous\, playful\, and surreal ways. Through this work\, she satisfies the longings of her inner child by reclaiming the ‘well-behaved\, sidekick’ female cartoon characters—often portrayed as passive ‘dumbgirls’—and emboldening them with the mischievous spirit of iconic figures like Disney’s Cheshire Cat. Using watercolor\, gouache\, and acrylic on canvas\, board\, or paper\, Lindsay incorporates vibrant colors with hints of neon and dynamic lines to evoke motion\, electricity\, and spirit. \nSean “SK” Kinsey (he/him) – Philadelphia artist Sean Kinsey also known as “SK”\, is a visual artist whose work is considered an urban art style of painting as it has similarities to a street art aesthetic\, yet the work is intended for gallery viewing. Like many street artists\, Kinsey is self-taught and says that his work is about “making people happy and spreading messages of love and positivity.” He typically uses symbols of smiles\, hearts\, and peace signs along with uplifting words and his self-identifying brand. \n \nFeatured Live Music\nDJ Heat___wav – In his 10+ years of DJ-ing and production experience\, Heat___wav honed a passion for live blending songs\, original remixes\, and tinkering with all musical genres and instrumentation. Since hitting the scene of Temple University’s house party & cookout circuit\, he’s played gigs alongside local acts such as PNB Rock and DJ Vic B. With a comfortable grasp on the diasporic genres of Hip Hop\, Dancehall\, R&B\, AfroBeats & Amapiano\, his sound aims to provide a frictionless journey through contemporary rhythms\, familiar vocals\, and the overlapping space between songs. \n \nInterested in Showcasing Your Work?\nGermantown Art & Sound was created with the creative in mind! Her art is an extension of who she is\, a reflection of her soul and personage beyond what she is able to express by other means. \nWhat Lies Beneath – Welcome to What Lies Beneath (WLB)\, the art and craftsmanship of South Jersey artist Zack Carr. WLB is a fusion of Zack’s favorite imagery\, styles\, and mediums\, blending dark aesthetics with street art influences. Lately\, he’s been captivated by linocut printing and is driven to create the dopest art possible. Come discover What Lies Beneath! \nKaya Proctor – Kaya Proctor is a self-taught painter originally from Pittsburgh\, now rooted in Philadelphia after years of living and working across the Northeast region. With a decade-long career as a film and television producer\, Kaya turns to painting as a slower\, more tactile form of storytelling and self-expression. Her work draws on the primal simplicity of cave drawings and the intricate narratives of ancient pottery\, interpreting the human form through bold silhouettes\, deliberate line work\, and layered textures built with unconventional materials. \nRugged Imperfections – Emily Autumn is a multimedia artist whose primary focus is textile design using a tufting machine. She also creates large abstract paintings and freestyle paintings that encourage a spark in critical thinking. Based in Philadelphia\, she is an art teacher who finds fulfillment in fostering a space for kids to build their own confidence in creativity. \nDrew LeVan – Drew LeVan is a graphic designer and pen-and-ink illustrator with a strong focus on typography and lettering. His work blends digital design with the tactile quality of hand-drawn illustrations\, creating pieces that are both visually bold and deeply personal. Much of his art is shaped by advocacy for mental health\, social justice\, and human rights. These themes appear throughout his work to spark dialogue\, challenge stigma\, and encourage empathy. At its core\, his creative process is about using visual communication to connect people and inspire change. \nEmotional IQ – Genesis Rodriguez is a Latina artist\, inspired by her Puerto Rican and Dominican roots. Her hard-working family\, primarily led by women\, nurtured her artistic passion from a young age. Mainly working in oil mediums\, she enjoys blending vivid colors and reality\, citing emotional intelligence and inspiring her artist name\, Emotional IQ. With smooth\, soulful vocals and heartfelt lyrics\, the singer-songwriter’s music is honest and uplifting. After dropping two spontaneous singles in 2019 (‘For the Lovers’ and ‘Summer Day’)\, he’s set to release his debut project\, ‘Born To Be Loved’\, later this year. AquilDawud grew up in a household bursting with a love of music. As the eldest son of the famous neo-soul duo\, Kindred The Family Soul\, AquilDawud credits his parents with influencing his passion for music. Inspired by iconic soul artists like Donny Hathaway\, Marvin Gaye\, Musiq Soulchild\, Lauryn Hill\, Erykah Badu\, and members of his own musical family\, AquilDawud sees music as the ultimate form of self-expression. \nFawziyya Heart – Fawziyya Heart’s foray into the Philadelphia music scene began by collaborating with various bands\, immersing herself in the city’s rich tapestry of musical talent. Her work often places the female body in symbolic scenarios – most notably in her mushroom series\, which she began in 2024 as a way of connecting femininity to nature and embracing the beauty of unsettling imagery. \nTiggy (they/them) – Tiggy is a Philadelphia based artist that works primarily with oil on canvas. Abstracted themes of nature are combined with vibrant colors to inspire the viewer to interpret the piece in multiple ways.  \nRomeo Saunders (they/them\, he/him) – Romeo Saunders is a Philadelphia-based black queer artist who explores African spirituality and ancient traditions through his art. He aims to bridge the past and present\, reminding people of their roots and encouraging them to appreciate the spiritual and cultural connections we have\, building the future by remembering the past. \nKevelis Matthews-Alvarado (they/them\, he/him) – Kevelis Matthews-Alvarado is a queer nonbinary afro-latine multimedia artist\, interdisciplinary thinker\, and poet currently based on occupied Lenape Land (Philadelphia\, PA). Kevelis’s mixed media creative practices are inextricably invested in collective liberation and located along a continuum of other radical black queer artists who use their work as catalysts for imagining freedom and healing generational wounds. \nIngenious Nick (he/him) -Ingenious Nick is a Philadelphia based artist with an eclectic mix of digital and traditional illustrations. Drawing inspiration from everyday moments and shadow work\, my creative mission is to inspire others to reconnect with their inner creator\, and use art as a therapeutic tool. \n \nThe Magick Artist (they/them) – The Magick Artist is run by Malachi Lily (they/them). They are a black\, shapeshifting writer\, illustrator\, and director\, born in Philly and based in Germantown. Their customized clothing is queer spellwork\, and the last ingredient is you! Born and raised in Philadelphia\, and ever inspired by the city. Jordan Plain creates for sustenance using a blend of poetry\, graphic design\, and the abstract to capture life at its purest. \n \nHenry Luke (they/them) – Henry Luke is a painter\, muralist\, and lifelong community organizer from occupied Duwamish land (Seattle). Their work\, rooted in social movements and community struggles\, especially within Chinese and Filipino communities\, reflects a belief that art should serve collective liberation rather than individual expression. \n \nFeatured Live Music\nVelvet Grüve – Velvet Grüve is an instrumental band that takes influence from all genres of music ranging from funk to metal. We believe music can oftentimes speak for itself without lyrics. Our group developed an eccentric sound through casual jam sessions that stem from our own individual explorations of music. Our mission is for everyone to have an immersive listening experience through Velvet Grüve’s affinity for sound. \nDJ Heat___wav – In his 10+ years of DJ-ing and production experience\, Heat___wav honed a passion for live blending songs\, original remixes\, and tinkering with all musical genres and instrumentation. Her songs speak to those who are creating their own lane by adding lasting melodies to their own life story. \n \nDr. Guthrie Ramsey and Musiqology Media Group-A 2022 Guggenheim Fellow and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences\, Guthrie P. Ramsey\, Jr. is a music historian\, pianist\, composer\, and Professor Emeritus of Music at the University of Pennsylvania. He’s the author of Who Hears Here: On Black Music Pasts and Present\, The Amazing Bud Powell: Black Genius\, Jazz History and the Challenge of Bebop\, and Race Music: Black Cultures from Bebop to Hip-Hop. \nRamsey has released six recording projects\, including A Spiritual Vibe\, vol. 1 and has performed at The Blue Note\, The Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts\, and Harlem Stage. He scored the 2019 prize-winning documentary Making Sweet Tea and the choreopoem\, The Black Feminist Guide to the Human Body in 2024. Ramsey co-curated the exhibition Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing: How the Apollo Theater Shaped American Entertainment and was a consultant for the 2020 Emmy Award-winning documentary Apollo: The Soul of American Culture. \n \nJONILL– JONILL is an emerging singer\, songwriter\, and producer in the Philadelphia area. Coleman Jr. is an illustrator\, muralist\, fine artist\, children’s book author\, and 2D animator. Art has served as a powerful means of emotional expression for him\, particularly in environments where such expression has not always been encouraged\, especially as a Black man. It has also acted as a bridge\, connecting him with people from different backgrounds and offering perspectives that were not always accessible in his upbringing. \nCorinne Jones – Corinne Jones is a color-loving maximalist whose quirky\, bold\, and mildly inappropriate collages have been a staple of her art booth for five years.  Now based in Philly\, she’s eager to create\, collaborate\, and surprise. Her love for movement shapes her designs—playful\, dynamic\, and always unexpected. Watch out—her favorite tool is a pair of scissors\, so… Cut It Out!  \nKassandra Wall – Kassandra is an artist who creates oil paintings\, with her work ranging between surrealism and realism. She is inspired by space\, landscapes\, bright colors\, and the magic that can be seen in everyday life. However\, she is always up for a new and exciting challenge! Her main goal is to become the best possible version of herself while bringing out the best in others. With a dream to enhance the lives of others through artistic expression\, she aims to impact the world one project at a time. \nJah Beverly – Jah Beverly redefines masculinity through the lens of his identity as a Black trans man\, exploring themes of eroticism\, self-expression\, and autonomy. His large-scale oil paintings use vibrant colors and dynamic portraiture to center Black trans-masculine bodies\, challenging gender and racial binaries. By juxtaposing figuration against minimalist backgrounds\, he symbolizes trans identities transcending oppression. In the face of rising anti-trans legislation\, his work celebrates trans liberation\, visibility\, and resilience\, offering a powerful platform for affirmation. \nJoar Mejia – Joar Mejia looks to capture the essence of melancholy and memories through the use of different colors and film techniques. \nMINK – MINK \, a Philly-born painter\, explores the styles of neo-expressionism\, surrealism\, and figurative/ portraiture art- playing with bold colors\, brush strokes\, and figures in her works. Complete with complimentary wine\, live music and a playlist that is uniquely curated by our guests\, we deliver your Friday night vibes just right. \n  \nEvent Details\nTickets: Suggested donation of $10. Cash\, cash app\, venmo and card accepted at the door. \nFood & Drink: Complimentary wine and a food vendor will be available. This event is also BYOB. \nTransportation: Our House Culture Center is easily accessible by bus (route 23). Free & metered street parking is available around the venue. \nAccessibility: One entrance has two steps up with no railing. The side entrance has no steps. There are two steps with no railing within the venue space. The Our House restroom is gender inclusive. We believe music can oftentimes speak for itself without lyrics. Our group developed an eccentric sound through casual jam sessions that stem from our own individual explorations of music. Our mission is for everyone to have an immersive listening experience through Velvet Grüve’s affinity for sound. \nDJ Heat___wav – In his 10+ years of DJ-ing and production experience\, Heat___wav honed a passion for live blending songs\, original remixes\, and tinkering with all musical genres and instrumentation. Since hitting the scene of Temple University’s house party & cookout circuit\, he’s played gigs alongside local acts such as PNB Rock and DJ Vic B. With a comfortable grasp on the diasporic genres of Hip Hop\, Dancehall\, R&B\, AfroBeats & Amapiano\, his sound aims to provide a frictionless journey through contemporary rhythms\, familiar vocals\, and the overlapping space between songs. \n  \nInterested in Showcasing Your Work?\nGermantown Art & Sound was created with the creative in mind! Our House hosts events\, collaborative exhibitions\, group projects\, and more on a broad range of important issues including environmental\, economic\, social and cultural sustainability through the development and leveraging of local and regional partnerships. \nVanessa Chandler – Vanessa Chandler is a Philadelphia based event planner\, nonprofit development professional and MC. She finds her passion in supporting local artists\, curating community art shows and MCing live music events. Born in Norristown PA\, Vanessa has lived in Philadelphia since attending Temple University in 2015. Vanessa holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Management with a focus in event leadership. \nJulian Moore-Griffin – Julian is a prolific storyteller. Whether penning articles spotlighting Philly’s Sneakers of Brotherly Love\, social justice in the city\, cultural and community happenings or capturing the city’s night life through his camera’s lens\, his thoughtful applications give his work a colorful depth and layered meaning.
