DESCRIPTION:Join us for a month long journey to learn about primitive pottery including: hand building\, wild clay processing\,  and wood fired ceramics!\n\n\nWelcome to Primitive Pottery: A Journey from Soil to Earthenware! Join 4 Elements Earth Education at Historic Rittenhouse Town for this hands-on experience series where you’ll be introduced to the ancient art of creating pottery from scratch (well\, soil actually). You will be guided through the stages of processing wild clay\, crafting with various hand building techniques\, and utilizing only wood on an open fire to produce your very own earthenware creation. Get ready to roll up your sleeves\, get your hands dirty\, and slip into the timeless world of hands\, clay\, and fire to create a vessel from the Earth herself! \n \nCourse Dates: \n\nWednesday\, April 23 from 7 – 9 pm\nWednesday\, April 30 from 7 – 9 pm\nWednesday\, May 7 from 7 – 9 pm\nWednesday\, May 14 from 7 – 9 pm\n\n \nThis class is offered via a Tier Pricing model in hopes of reducing financial barriers to those present in our community. To discuss bypassing service fees\, please reach out to info@4eee.org. \n \n4 Elements Earth Education ‘s Mission is to offer programs that guide youth\, teens\, and families to a more connected and balanced relationship with Mother Earth through caretaking and Earth Living Skills. \n \nIn Philadelphia\, we offer 100% donation based youth programs for children. All tickets for this event will contribute to allowing these programs to continue to benefit our local youth. This is the building also accompanied by Paper Trail Bike Cafe\, and can be found via the address 211 Lincoln Dr.\, Philadelphia\, PA 19144.\n\n \nProgram Times: \n\nThis program will run on four consecutive Wednesday evenings from 7 pm – 9 pm.\n\n \nAttendees: \n\nOnly people who have registered and are above the age of 18 are welcome to join us at this event. All others will be asked to leave our class area for the duration of this program.\nWe love kids\, and we love pets\, but neither of these two wonderful beings are welcome at this specific program.\n\n \nGear List: \n\nGenerally speaking\, do not wear clothes that you consider to be of value to you. You will likely not be as clean and tidy as you leave as when you arrived. Please plan accordingly.\nPlease bring water and a snack for yourself.\nAll clay and materials will be provided.

Imagine kids playing in the budding woodlands while parents and guardians spend time exploring a plant\, identifying bird songs\, or exploring a hand craft. \nThis experience is hoping to provide the perfect blend of learning and leisure for all ages! \nExpect to be unwinding in Nature\, kids playing and exploring\, and allowing time for curiosities and connections to grow! \nLocation: \n\n208 Lincoln Dr.\, Philadelphia\, PA 19144-4903\nWe’ll meet up on the flat area behind the office building\nThere will be private access to a flush toilet\nPapertrail Bike cafe is right there and highly recommended!\n\nTime: \n\n10 am – 12 pm\nPlease do your best to arrive as close as possible to 10 am in case we go for a stroll or are otherwise out and about\n\nAttendees: \n\nDesigned for families with children of all ages\, but likely ideal for 12 and under\nThis is not a drop off event.
