DESCRIPTION:Learn all about textile reuse and recycling at this hands-on sorting event with FABSCRAP and Circular Philadelphia.\n\n\nJoin Circular Philadelphia at FABSCRAP‘s South Philly location in the Bok Building for an evening of (literally) digging into textile circularity while enjoying drinks\, snacks\, and great conversation. \nAfter an introduction to FABSCRAP\, whose mission is to end commercial textile waste and maximize the value of unused fabric\, attendees will learn how to sort fabrics based on a number of different parameters for reuse\, resale\, and recycling. Then\, they will participate in a low-key\, hands-on sort while chatting with other attendees and enjoying beverages and light fare. \nAt the end of the event\, attendees will have the option to take home fabric as a thank-you for the sorting they did. \nThis is a great opportunity to learn more about textiles\, circular fashion\, and what it actually takes to ensure that fabric and garments are responsibly managed so they don’t just end up in a landfill or incinerator.
