SUMMARY:First Friday May 1st @ Arch Enemy Arts
DESCRIPTION:Join Arch Enemy Arts on First Friday\, May 1st for the opening reception of six new shows\, including the third installment of “Brings May Flowers\,” a group exhibition celebrating spring and the vibrant beauty of blooms in all their beloved forms. View previous works from this ongoing series on our website here. Dewi Plass – Netherlands-based painter\, Dewi Plass is known for her soft\, atmospheric portrayals of animals. Here\, she presents a deeply personal body of work shaped by profound loss and rooted in reflection\, memory\, and love. Holly Jean Studios – Local artist Corinne Lalik\, creator of Holly Jean Studios\, debuts her first gallery exhibition of sculptural\, wall-mounted wood compositions. Inspired by folk aesthetics and quilting traditions\, her work reimagines form and function\, offering pieces that evoke both comfort and transformation. Vasilisa Romanenko – Returning for her fifth solo exhibition\, Vasilisa Romanenko unveils a new series of birds and blooms—intricately rendered paintings that merge botany\, natural history\, and ornate patterning with elegance and technical realism. Michael Koehler – Pittsburgh-based artist Michael Koehler presents his second solo exhibition with the gallery\, channeling the transcendental beauty and power of nature while examining its place within an increasingly technological world. Drew Caines – Finally\, UK artist Drew Caines presents a mini-release of small-scale wall sculptures\, fusing an ancient visual language of stoneware with contemporary pop influences to create works that feel both timeless and immediate. Celebrate with us for an evening of new work\, fresh perspectives\, and the unmistakable energy of spring in full bloom. 109 Arch Street\, 5pm – 9pm

SUMMARY:First Friday March 6th @ Arch Enemy Arts
DESCRIPTION:Arch Enemy Arts invites you to join us on March 6th from 5 – 9 pm for the opening reception of five new solo exhibitions\, alongside ELIXIR II\, our March group show that’s sure to quench your thirsty imagination. All of our solo artists will be in attendance\, and Graham Yarrington plans to do a short acoustic set of music to accompany his work early on in the evening. \nExhibitions: \nIMPRESSIONS by J L King \n2/21/26 – 3/15/26 \nBay Area artist J L King combines trompe l’oeil finesse with early surrealism\, recalling painters like Magritte\, Kay Sage\, and de Chirico. As if that weren’t enough\, each piece in the series makes a protagonist of one or more composite creatures—featuring fat-bottomed pears\, potted green-people\, and one giant strawberry-fly—adding a contemporary pop humor that’s an absolute joy to behold. \nDREAMER’S CLUTCH by Aunty Beast \n2/21/26 – 3/15/26 \nLocal puppet-master-extraordinaire Aunty Beast creates meticulously crafted plushies\, puppets\, pups\, and beasts. Each is hand-sewn\, wrought from another world\, and imbued with their own life and personality. \nASHES OF THE ASTRAL by Brian Serway \n3/6/26 – 3/29/26 \nBrian Serway illustrates black and white fantasies inspired by the mystery\, mysticism\, and folklore of his home in the Appalachian mountains. With stylistic details practically carved into (or out of) the negative space\, his drawings traverse the page with momentous shifts of darkness and scale in relatively small and contained compositions. \nINTO THE VOID by Mike Gamble \n3/6/26 – 3/29/26 \nPhilly-based painter and master printmaker\, Mike Gamble debuts his first solo exhibition of hyperrealistic and mystical oil paintings\, a number of which have been used as official posters for the band TOOL. A legend among the TOOL Army\, Gamble’s art is a lot like the band’s music—inspired by a consciousness that exists within emptiness. \nTHE CHERISHED UNKNOWN by Graham Yarrington \n3/6/26 – 3/29/26 \nRochester-based artist Graham Yarrington illustrates translucent dreamscapes in ink and acrylic that effortlessly glow from pristine white paper. An emerging artist\, tattoo apprentice\, and poster illustrator\, this is Yarrington’s first solo exhibition of new work\, and it is an absolute triumph of skill and vision.

SUMMARY:First Friday February 6th @ Arch Enemy Arts
DESCRIPTION:Arch Enemy Arts invites you to join us on Februray 6th from 5 – 9 pm for the opening celebration of four new solo exhibitions\, featuring new-contemporary artists working in a wild range of styles and mediums\, plus The 2026 Spotlight Showcase\, our only open call group exhibition of the year. \nMore about the Shows: \nBabs Webbs’ “Same Window Different Visual” is a raw and emotive series. It is sweeping and intense; at once private\, personal\, delicate and dramatic. The show features five of the Colorado-based artist’s signature drawings\, plus three light-up dimensional works\, and a gorgeously constructed rare sculpture. As a whole\, the collection serves as a gateway into the artist’s dark and ethereal inner world. www.archenemyarts.com/samewindowdifferentvisual2026 \nThe debut solo exhibition by local Philly artist\, Alex Eckman-Lawn is a collection of gorgeous dimensional collages made from hand-cut paper\, constructed in an architecture of mysterious portals\, like catacombs and ghostly terrains. www.archenemyarts.com/ap-alexeckmanlawn \nAndrea Hooge’s “Futures Reimagined” is a series of twelve scratchboard illustrations\, sculptural dioramas\, and layered cutouts by Canadian artist Andrea Hooge. The series reflects on generational conflicts at different times in living memory in scenes that have all of the illustrative whimsy we love about Hooge’s work. www.archenemyarts.com/futuresreimagined2026 \nSpanish pop-surrealist painter Perrilla debuts a romp of madcap monsters lead by powerful big-eyed girls. Perrilla’s work is weird\, surreal\, and full of joy. \nThe 2025 Spotlight Showcase is our annual pulse-check on the new contemporary landscape and an excuse to look beyond the familiar and find what’s next. This year’s lineup features 18 artists new to Arch Enemy Arts from across the globe\, working in a wide range of styles and mediums. www.archenemyarts.com/spotlightshowcase2026
