A Piet Oudolf Story Deborah Chud Garden Designer, Consultant, and Educator Instructor Deborah Chud traces her discovery of the work of the Dutch garden designer, Piet Oudolf, her research on his plant combinations, and her use of that research to create a garden in his style. The class explores the historical context in which Oudolf emerged as a landscape designer and provides an introduction to his design principles—particularly his concept of structure and the special balance he creates between coherence and contrast. Join us to care for our very first rain garden at Germantown’s beautiful and historic Vernon Park. We’ll weed and pick up litter in the rain garden with our partner, Friends of Vernon Park. We work with FOVP to maintain this garden of native plants, which cleans and slows down runoff pollution before it enters our stormwater system, creeks, and rivers.
