DESCRIPTION:Meet at Johnson Street and Lincoln Drive \nJoin Debbie\, Jim\, & Stan as they explore the Monoshone Creek\, one of the critical tributaries of the Wissahickon Creek. SUMMARY:Greenwood Joy Experience Exhibition: Open Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Come immerse yourself in the Greenwood Joy Experience and see the art of Dawn Tree in the Barn\, from now through Sunday 8/13! \nThis adventure allows you to reflect on what joy feels like while dissecting issues that continue to plague African American communities. \nThe art is reflective of what joy looks like if these issues are addressed and sustained in real-time. The art is meant to make you feel and explore your emotions toward a medium that could feel unfinished with something like a controlled paint drip technique rooted in abstract expressionism. Immerse yourself in the idea of imagination. \nThe art created by Dawn Tree is multi-layered and textured in symbolism involving elements like glitter\, gold leaf\, pastel\, and bright colors. This experience is meant for you to feel emotion; no specific emotion\, but feel free to explore and identify what comes up. Let it inspire you to move forward in the world stronger and more inspired to express joy within and outward. \n  \nBe sure to check out the exhibition’s closing: \nSunday 8/13 Open Gallery from 11am-2pm and Tulsa’s Black Wall Street: A Modernized Revelation book signing

SUMMARY:"New Now VI" 2nd Thursday Reception
DESCRIPTION:Join us on August 10th\, from 6-9 PM\, for the opening reception of New Now VI\, celebrating the work of Inliquid’s newest members!\n\n\nJoin us on August 10th\, from 6-9 PM\, for the opening reception of New Now VI\, celebrating the work of Inliquid’s newest members! \nSince 1999\, InLiquid has connected artists and audiences in Philadelphia and the surrounding region. In the sixth installment of its new member showcase\, New Now VI\, 31 artists of diverse mediums\, inspirations\, and histories\, come together in the InLiquid Gallery. Though distinct\, they are linked by the local community and a shared interest in the human experience. \nThis year’s cohort of artists embrace personal growth and discovery\, drawing from memory\, intuition\, interconnection\, and mythology\, as part of the creative process. They employ a variety of techniques\, ranging from assemblage\, collage and abstraction\, to tufting\, weaving\, metalworking\, glass blowing\, and 3D design. Referencing math\, chemistry\, history\, politics\, and pop-culture\, they invite viewers to engage in conversations surrounding national divisions\, societal inequities\, the climate crisis\, and a desire for healing and transformation. \nFEATURING: Rhonda Babb | Sharon Bloomfield Hicks | Jorge Caligiuri | Shaina Craft | Elissa Glassgold | Diane Janine Goodman | Leslie A. SUMMARY:Greenwood Joy Experience Exhibition & Screening of Tulsa’s Black Wall Street: A Modernized Revelation
\n  \nBe sure to check out the exhibition’s full programming: \nFriday 8/11 Open Gallery from 10am-2pm \nSunday 8/13 Open Gallery from 11am-2pm and Tulsa’s Black Wall Street: A Modernized Revelation book signing

SUMMARY:Greenwood Joy Experience Exhibition Artist Talk & Open Mic
\n  \nBe sure to check out the exhibition’s full programming: \nThursday 8/10 Open Gallery from 10am-2pm and Tulsa’s Black Wall Street: A Modernized Revelation film screening 6-8pm \nFriday 8/11 Open Gallery from 10am-2pm \nSunday 8/13 Open Gallery from 11am-2pm and Tulsa’s Black Wall Street: A Modernized Revelation book signing
