SUMMARY:Nature as Healer: A Writing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:“The people cannot be healed until the land is healed. The land cannot be healed until the people are healed by the land.” – Martin Prechtel  \n  Nature can be a great healer for the heartaches we all experience along our journey. Join Naila Francis\, founder of This Hallowed Wilderness\, for a writing workshop to explore the restorative power of nature.   \n Together\, we will walk through the shady woods and sunny meadows of Gwynedd Preserve\, listening to our inner voices\, on this inspiring nature immersion that also invites us into reciprocal relationship with the land and our more-than-human kin.    \n Bring a notebook and a writing instrument for this workshop. (We will also have some available.)    \n You will be invited to share whatever you wish in a “sacred circle\,” but this is not required. The intent of this event is to bring people together\, whatever their losses and struggles\, and to connect with others and the natural world at their own comfort level.   \n Our stroll through the woods will be silent\, followed by some meditative time in the Betz Memorial Garden\, and quiet reflection.   \n Please save the rain date in the event of inclement weather: Sunday\, November 2\, 1:00 – 3:00 PM.   \n About our instructor: Naila is a grief coach and death midwife who companions people on their grief journey through multiple spaces and practices\, including meditations in nature and the written word.

They return to a childhood home where they hope to heal and figure out what’s next. They have the unconventional guidance from Shadow\, Spirit\, embodied aspects of Sunny\, as well as revolutionary ancestors like Patrice Lumumba\, Mahmoud Darwish\, and Katherine Dunham. Most importantly\, they have YOU\, the audience. You are casted as “The Light Orbs” to Sunny. Together\, through rituals of stillness and dance\, rest and release\, and even a foot soak\, you journey with Sunny through several portals to refuel our collective spirit for political resistance. \nThis is a fundraiser where all proceeds will be split between the Panzi Foundation of the Congo\, and Camp Breakers of Gaza\, Palestine. \nSince we will be in ritual together\, including a foot soak ceremony you are encouraged to wear white/light colored clothing\, wear comfortable attire\, and be prepared to remove your shoes.

See you there! \n\n\n\n\nMore about Black Lotus HHC \n \nBlack Lotus Holistic Healing Collective is known for is a space designed for BIPOC healers/practitioners to be centered in the healing in order for them to heal those in the BIPOC community. Vibrational healing is the ancient art of healing with sound; it traces back to ancient Egypt & Tibet. Sound vibrations can heal the physical body at a cellular level by adjusting blockages and imbalances. These imbalances can cause the body to have a slower frequency vibration which may lead to dis-ease or illnesses. Natural healing sound frequencies can be transferred or introduced externally or directly into the body to create a more harmonious state. \nAt Black Lotus\, we combine the use of crystal chakra singing bowls\, gongs\, tuning forks\, and more to give a relaxing & transformative experience. We can balance chakras\, repair auras\, uplift the mood or help with grounding. Vibrational healing is a great tool for meditation\, alleviating stress\, and relaxing stiff or sore muscles. \nFor more visit: www.diasporaeducationalservices.org/black-lotus \nhttps://linktr.ee/blacklotushhc \n\n\n\nDIRECTIONS: \n \nBlack Lotus is not on Lincoln Drive despite the address…it is actually on Rittenhousetown Lane.
