These stories are for everyone and for today. They still resonate and grow and change. Using the beauty of these texts that have beaten time we want to tell new stories with new bodies and open up the conversation. Because at the end of the day\, this work\, these words\, and art is about real people and all the diversity and change and indecorous energy real people create. Indecorous Theatre returns to the Schuylkill Center after their sold-out run of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

SUMMARY:Archive Month Historical Campus Tour
DESCRIPTION:Take a guided walking tour behind the 10-foot wall of Girard College to explore its history and architecture.\n\n\nEnjoy a guided tour behind the famous 10-foot wall of Girard College with Director of Historical Resources Kathy Haas. As we stroll around this 43-acre oasis in the middle of the city\, we’ll look at the campus as it exists today\, along with archival maps and photographs that document the campus’s history and growth. We’ll touch on Stephen Girard\, the 19th-century multi-millionaire who left his fortune to create a school for financially-disadvantaged children; the monumental architecture of the school; the generations of students who have lived and learned here (and still do); and the powerful civil rights activism that led to the school’s desegregation. \nThe tour will begin and end at Founder’s Hall.
