SUMMARY:Priority Hoarding: A Retrospectacle
DESCRIPTION:“Where our baggage is yours!” \nWelcome to the Bearded Ladies’ Hairport\, an interactive installation & performance series built on 16-years of accumulated baggage from a queer cabaret company devoted to art\, care\, mess\, and community. While you’re waiting for a flight that may never take off\, unpack your baggage and rifle through some of ours. You may recognize something as your own\, or find something you never knew you were carrying. \nMade for anyone who has ever lost a bag\, gotten stuck\, or missed a (metaphoric) flight\, this trans(formational) installation asks: how do you know it’s time to move on when you don’t know where you’re going? \nProduced by The Bearded Ladies Cabaret\nPart of FringeArt’s 2026 Festival & Collective Futures \nInstallation on view September 10-December 20\, 2026\nat The Hairport | 444 N 3rd Street\, Philadelphia PA 19123 \nInstallation hours:\nWednesday\, Thursday & Friday 4-9PM | Last timed entry at 8:15PM\nSaturday & Sunday 11AM-3PM| Last timed entry at 2:15PM \nLive events at The Hairport | Saturdays at 8PM \nThe Hairport is an interactive\, immersive installation filled with costumes\, cardboard props\, and other ephemera from the Bearded Ladies Cabaret’s 16-year performance history. Visitors will make their way through a sprawling multi-room space made to look like a fantastical\, metaphorical “airport”. Visitors will be invited to interact with components of the installation and may encounter docents in guiding roles. The experience will culminate in a “lounge” space full of “Bearded baggage” which will also serve as the performance site for the Now Hoarding: In-Flight Entertainment live event series. \nIt will take visitors approximately 60-75 minutes to view the entirety of the Priority Hoarding installation. Groups of 6 will enter the installation\, at 15-minute timed entry intervals. An opportunity to ride a Surrey bike is offered but not required.

SUMMARY:Bread & Salt Drawing Experience
DESCRIPTION:With food as the inspiration\, participants will engage in a still life sketch club inspired by the Bread and Salt exhibition.\n\n\nBread and Salt Drawing Experience: \nHosted by Keyonna Butler\, this still life sketch club inspired by the Bread and Salt exhibition offers charcuterie and desserts for a cozy celebration. Participants will engage in warm-ups\, guided observation prompts\, and a relaxed sketching session\, catering to artists and anyone seeking a creative break. \n \nAbout Bread & Salt: \nBread & Salt is a community-centered project exploring the ways food shapes memory\, identity\, culture\, and connection. Through an exhibition\, a communal meal\, and a community cookbook\, the project invites artists\, cooks\, writers\, restaurants\, and residents to reflect on the stories carried through recipes\, traditions\, and shared tables. \nHow does food function as communication\, control\, memory\, or care? What does it reveal about power\, intimacy\, or belonging? Where does it connect us\, and where does it divide us? Across cultures\, bread and salt symbolize hospitality\, survival\, and belonging. \nDrawing from these themes\, Bread & Salt examines food as a form of care\, communication\, ritual\, labor\, and cultural inheritance. Together\, the exhibition\, potluck\, and cookbook create a living archive of the people\, histories\, and traditions that nourish community life. \n \nAbout the Gallery: \nThis exhibition is organized by the Lansdowne Art Committee\, a volunteer group of The Lansdowne Economic Development Corporation. The mission of the Lansdowne Arts Committee is to create\, foster\, and promote Lansdowne’s identity as a vibrant and inspiring artistic community. The Lansdowne Art Committee is dedicated to nurturing creative expression\, enhancing community engagement\, stimulating economic growth\, preserving and celebrating Lansdowne’s diversity\, and cultivating arts education and access. \nThe 20*20 House is a Lansdowne Borough owned property. Originally a residential home built in the early 19th century\, the 20*20 House has been transformed into a community space with gallery spaces on 2 floors\, a dedicated workshop space\, as well as a yoga studio. \nAccessibility Statement of 20*20 House: The LEDC and Lansdowne Art Committee are committed to provide a welcoming and accessible environment for all individuals\, including those with disabilities. We strive to ensure that our facilities\, services\, and events are as accessible as we can make them\, giving you the confidence to visit us. \nParking: There are several dedicated parking spaces on campus available to the public\, as well as additional street parking along Lansdowne Court. \nThere is a passenger drop-off area on the rear accessibility ramp. \nFirst Floor Accessibility \nInclusive Design: Our first floor is designed to be inclusive and ensure accessibility for all. Approachable Entrance: Our accessible entrance is in the back of the house. There is a ramp for whoever needs it. If possible\, please email us at arts@lansdownesfuture.org in advance of your visit so we can ensure that the gallery sitter is aware that this entrance will be used. The construction of Cliveden occurred during this violent time. A growing household of over twenty people at Cliveden reshaped their identities and looked to retain or procure their liberty at a time when discussions of freedom and independence were in everyone’s thoughts. This exhibit explores their experiences and struggles as a new nation formed. \nProcuring Liberty in the Emerging Nation is made possible by the generous support of The Mill Spring Foundation\, The Haley Foundation\, the Richard Dietrich III Foundation\, The Chester County History Center\, The Atwater Kent Collection at Drexel University\, The Ivy Lodge Collection\, The Germantown Historical Society\, The Library of Congress\, William Faris\, Ian Hughes\, and John P. Wood. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGet In Touch!\n\n\n\n\n \n\n1-215-848-1777 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n6401 Germantown Avenue\, Philadelphia\, PA 19144 \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAboretum open to the public whenever gates are open \n\nAboretum open to the public whenever gates are open \n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\ninfo@cliveden.org \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Us\n\n\n\n\n\nCliveden invites and gathers the community\, educates students\, teachers and public visitors and in a safe space\, convenes vital conversations about history\, race\, culture\, class\, gender\, civics and current events. SUMMARY:Self Care Sundays

See you there! \n\n\n\n\nMore about Black Lotus HHC \n \nBlack Lotus Holistic Healing Collective is known for is a space designed for BIPOC healers/practitioners to be centered in the healing in order for them to heal those in the BIPOC community. Vibrational healing is the ancient art of healing with sound; it traces back to ancient Egypt & Tibet. Sound vibrations can heal the physical body at a cellular level by adjusting blockages and imbalances. These imbalances can cause the body to have a slower frequency vibration which may lead to dis-ease or illnesses. Natural healing sound frequencies can be transferred or introduced externally or directly into the body to create a more harmonious state. \nAt Black Lotus\, we combine the use of crystal chakra singing bowls\, gongs\, tuning forks\, and more to give a relaxing & transformative experience. We can balance chakras\, repair auras\, uplift the mood or help with grounding. Vibrational healing is a great tool for meditation\, alleviating stress\, and relaxing stiff or sore muscles. \nFor more visit: www.diasporaeducationalservices.org/black-lotus \nhttps://linktr.ee/blacklotushhc \n\n\n\nDIRECTIONS: \n \nBlack Lotus is not on Lincoln Drive despite the address…it is actually on Rittenhousetown Lane.
