Join us to hear more about FABSCRAP’s operations and ask your questions in a Q+A! \nIn celebration of Giving Tuesday\, we are suggesting a donation of $10 to help support FABSCRAP\, or any amount you’d like to give. Help us meet our 2023 fundraising goals so that we may continue meaningful work! \nYour gift can help fund FAB essentials like our warehouse supplies such as scissors\, duct tape\, trash bags\, gaylord boxes\, and pallets! \n\n$10 Donation provides each sorting station with staple removers or scissors for deconstructing fabric headers\, and also helps cover the routine scissor sharpening maintenance.\n$30 Donation covers one box of black or clear trash bags used to sort and store scraps.\n$50 Donation will pay for one gaylord and/or pallet. We use about 10 per month to store and transport our scraps for recycling.

DESCRIPTION:SUITABLE FOR ADULTS AND TEENS AGES 15-17 \nExperience the magic of Tyler at night! \nJoin guide Dick Cloud on this hike under the light of the full moon. Hiking at night is a unique sensory experience. We will use our senses of hearing\, smell\, and touch to navigate the North Woods. We will observe the full moon as we walk through the meadows and more open areas of the Arboretum. Our guide will share points of special interest and seasonal highlights. We hope to see and hear some of the nocturnal wildlife that make a home at the Arboretum! \nThis moderately-paced hike is for adults and teens comfortable walking 2+ miles on uneven terrain. Bring a flashlight and wear sturdy hiking boots. All teens must be accompanied by an adult. \nThis program starts after Tyler’s closing hours. Gates will open 15 minutes before the program begins and close promptly 10 minutes after the start time\, so please be on time. Alice Thompson\, the Arts and Culture Program Manager for Glen Foerd\, will unlock doors for a glimpse of the material culture stored in rooms normally closed to the public.  Learn about the ownership history of the historic property. In addition to touring the interior of the mansion and looking at works by past artists in residence\, walk the grounds and carriage house and learn about future plans for renovations and improvements. \nThe tour will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A in the sunroom. Artists may ask questions related to their application for the artist residency.

You can bring your own bike and helmet or rent a bike and helmet for free at the class. \nVarious levels of experience are welcome on the tour and no one will be left behind\, but participants should have some basic riding knowledge. For those with no biking experience who are seeking to learn how to ride\, check out the Learn-to-Ride Youth classes (ages 4-16) or Learn-to-Ride Adult classes (16+). \n  \nRegistration in advance is required. \n  \nThe Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia is hosting FREE biking days at Bartram’s Garden through the end of November. The store will be open Friday – Sunday 10am-6pm and sell a plethora of Christmas decor including trees\, ornaments\, and even vintage gifts for loved ones. The store will open every weekend Black Friday thru NYE and features parking on site\, xmas themed photobooth\, and Forin wine Friday series with glasses & bottles of wine available from local cafe Forin.
