SUMMARY:Welsh Mountain Nature Preserve Phenology Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we survey Welsh Mountain Nature Preserve!\n\n\nPhenology is the science of seasonal change in nature\, using observations collected over time to see how these changes affect flora and fauna. In partnership with the USGS Phenology Network and Nature’s Notebook\, the data we collect is not only useful to us\, but to hundreds of phenology projects around the region and nation! \nLearn more about this community science project at https://www.lancasterconservancy.org/engaging-our-community/phenology/. \nJoin the Lancaster Conservancy phenology project team as we explore the universal access trail at Welsh Mountain Nature Preserve for signs of seasonal changes as nature takes its turn toward summer. We’ll look at plants\, birds\, and even insects to determine how living things in this mature temperate forest signal that summer is almost here! \nWhat to Expect: The easy\, mostly flat\, approximately 1-mile hike will follow the universal access trail. This event is for ages 10 and up (participants must be accompanied by an adult if younger than 18). SUMMARY:Philly Dreamin’: Personal Narratives in Mixed Media
DESCRIPTION:In this reflective\, hands-on workshop\, you’ll create a mixed-media vision board that tells your story.\n\n\nIn this reflective\, hands-on workshop\, you’ll create a mixed-media vision board that tells your story. Expressing how the past\, present\, and future are all connected. Inspired by the Currere method\, we’ll use art to explore personal experiences and imagine your future. \nAs we work\, we’ll also consider how dreaming can be a powerful act. Dreaming allows us to reflect on ourselves\, our communities\, and our hopes for the future. Through creative expression and optional conversation\, we’ll gently explore themes like dreams\, belonging\, and representation in community and art. \nDVAA uses art to connect people and build collective resilience in spaces across Greater Philadelphia. Help support this sliding-scale event—and many more like it—with a donation of $10–$25! All DVAA programming is NOTAFLOF (No One Turned Away for Lack of Funds). See you there! \n\n\n\n\nMore about Black Lotus HHC \n \nBlack Lotus Holistic Healing Collective is known for is a space designed for BIPOC healers/practitioners to be centered in the healing in order for them to heal those in the BIPOC community. Vibrational healing is the ancient art of healing with sound; it traces back to ancient Egypt & Tibet. Sound vibrations can heal the physical body at a cellular level by adjusting blockages and imbalances. These imbalances can cause the body to have a slower frequency vibration which may lead to dis-ease or illnesses. Natural healing sound frequencies can be transferred or introduced externally or directly into the body to create a more harmonious state. \nAt Black Lotus\, we combine the use of crystal chakra singing bowls\, gongs\, tuning forks\, and more to give a relaxing & transformative experience. We can balance chakras\, repair auras\, uplift the mood or help with grounding. Vibrational healing is a great tool for meditation\, alleviating stress\, and relaxing stiff or sore muscles. \nFor more visit: www.diasporaeducationalservices.org/black-lotus \nhttps://linktr.ee/blacklotushhc \n\n\n\nDIRECTIONS: \n \nBlack Lotus is not on Lincoln Drive despite the address…it is actually on Rittenhousetown Lane.
