We’re teaming up with the City of Philadelphia\, Office of Clean and Green\, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation\, Philadelphia Water Department\, United by Blue\, and multiple agencies\, to remove illegally dumped tires and clear debris from Tacony Creek Park and the surrounding streets. \nThis cleanup is a great way to make a real impact! Volunteers comfortable lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) are especially needed to help remove tires. Prefer lighter work? No problem—there will also be opportunities to collect smaller litter with grabbers. \nWe will meet at 313 Adams Avenue in Tacony Creek Park\, the road will be shut down and parking attendants will help you find a place to park. Please arrive at 9 am so that we can check you in and begin the cleanup. \nAll cleanup gear (gloves\, pickers\, sleds\, & trash bags) will be provided\, but feel free to bring your own gloves if preferred. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes\, and don’t forget sun protection and rain gear (just in case! ☔️).
