DESCRIPTION:Join Audubon Mid-Atlantic and Temple University at the Discovery Center as we work to maintain our habitats and conservation work for Earth Day! This site is home to over 170+ species of birds\, many species of insects and mammals\, and up to thousands of visitors per year. Our efforts can aid in the livelihood of these animals and stewardship for the people. We’ll focus on removing invasive bushes and plants around the trailhead so we can plant native shrubs in the future\, as well as fill our seed packets for the public seed library. \nAfterwards\, we open our space to an open stage for those to come and share their voice and appreciation of our earth and community. This can be through poetry\, stories and other types of offerings. DESCRIPTION:Cadence in the Clouds is an industry night that celebrates the dreamers in Philadelphia; the artists\, the creatives\, the entrepreneurs\, and the supporters of the arts. It is meant to show Philly artists that they don’t need to move out of the city to have a thriving career. Philly is a city rich in history\, and they should be a part of it given the necessary resources and connections. We aim to create the industry night that puts all of those people in one room\, while using all local Philadelphia businesses and artists\, to make a night where people connect and collaborate through the language of music. While patrons get to enjoy a live concert featuring music from DJ Bear One\, A.Rob\, and Sahlii\, their ticket also comes with artist bios\, raffles for a studio session and a photography/music video shoot\, live art\, complimentary snacks and sweets\, and so much more. \nThis particular concert is all about celebrating artists who are courageous enough to use their music and their art to make a change and stand up to what is going on in the world. It’s meant to show that while some pay punish you for speaking up\, we will highlight you\, putting you on our stage to amplify your voice. Every artist and business who is taking part has used their platform as a release\, and as a means to protest everything happening in the world. By purchasing tickets or any of the art that will be at the event\, you are directly putting money into the pockets of Black and Brown artists.

DESCRIPTION:Riverbend camps create an outdoor experience of fun & free play for campers of all ages! Hiking\, stream-stomping and bug-catching are a few of the key ingredients that have made Riverbend’s summer camp a sensation since 1982. Riverbend campers aren’t afraid to get a little dirty in our weekly program that runs from mid-June to Labor Day. Our qualified and enthusiastic educators (some who were campers themselves!) guide children in hands-on nature exploration and investigation\, games\, crafts\, hikes and more. DESCRIPTION:\, 			\n			\n							 \n\n\nPhoto: Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership\n\nOn January 30\, organizations throughout the Delaware River watershed and beyond will host stream sampling events for community scientists and volunteers to collect chloride and conductivity data for a Winter Salt Snapshot as part of Winter Salt Week. \n\n\n\nThis stream and river monitoring event provides participants with local salt pollution data and information that they can use for education and outreach with municipal governments\, local leaders\, and the public. Stroud Center scientists will use the snapshot data to produce a high-resolution map of salt concentrations in regional streams. \nThe Stroud Center will provide support\, resources\, and regular email updates to registered snapshot participants. DESCRIPTION:Troy Bynum from TB Wildlife Photography LLC will be hosting a guided bird walk in partnership with the Whitemarsh Foundation.\nJoin us at Dixon Meadow Preserve\, located on the corner of Thomas and Flourtown Roads in Whitemarsh Township. With its 14 acres repurposed in 2014 and its boardwalk measuring nearly two-thirds of a mile\, the Preserve is a haven for birders\, walkers\, and those who enjoy the area’s natural flora and fauna. With over 190 species reported on eBird\, we’re bound to find something special. Attendees will meet at the parking lot before walking down to the preserve.
