SUMMARY:Cadence in the Clouds
DESCRIPTION:Cadence in the Clouds is an industry night that celebrates the dreamers in Philadelphia; the artists\, the creatives\, the entrepreneurs\, and the supporters of the arts. It is meant to show Philly artists that they don’t need to move out of the city to have a thriving career. Philly is a city rich in history\, and they should be a part of it given the necessary resources and connections. We aim to create the industry night that puts all of those people in one room\, while using all local Philadelphia businesses and artists\, to make a night where people connect and collaborate through the language of music. While patrons get to enjoy a live concert featuring music from DJ Bear One\, A.Rob\, and Sahlii\, their ticket also comes with artist bios\, raffles for a studio session and a photography/music video shoot\, live art\, complimentary snacks and sweets\, and so much more. \nThis particular concert is all about celebrating artists who are courageous enough to use their music and their art to make a change and stand up to what is going on in the world. It’s meant to show that while some pay punish you for speaking up\, we will highlight you\, putting you on our stage to amplify your voice. Every artist and business who is taking part has used their platform as a release\, and as a means to protest everything happening in the world. By purchasing tickets or any of the art that will be at the event\, you are directly putting money into the pockets of Black and Brown artists.

SUMMARY:PHILLY PASS THE PEACE RALLY LAUNCHES TAKE 5: STOP THE VIOLENCE CAMPAIGN
DESCRIPTION:PHILLY PASS THE PEACE RALLY LAUNCHES\nTAKE 5: STOP THE VIOLENCE CAMPAIGN\nBringing Together Philadelphia’s Community Of Peace Workers\nCelebrating The Permanently Peaceful Project And The Work Done During\nThe United Nations International Week of Peace\nPHILADELPHIA\, PA (September 2024) — The Philly Pass The Peace Rally will be held on\nSaturday\, September 28\, 2024 from 12 Noon – 4:00 pm at Berean Presbyterian Church\, a\nhistoric Civil Rights Hub\, located at 2101 North Broad Street\, Philadelphia\, PA. This rally will\nlaunch the TAKE 5: Stop the Violence Campaign with an active response to the need for\naccessible strategies that promote and support violence de-escalation. The event will\nhighlight a sequence of concerted efforts designed to saturate the City of Philadelphia with a\nmessage Proposing Personal Pause\, Teaching Tangible Tolerance and Cultivating a Culture of\nPeace (Count\, “1\,2\,3\,4\,5 Take 5). The day will also gather Philadelphia’s Community of Peace\nWorkers to celebrate the work done during the United Nations’ International Peace Week.\nViolence is a pervasive presence in our society. How do we stop its spread\, and how can we\nmanage the anger and frustration that can often result in a violent outcome? Philadelphia\nnative Warren Cooper is on a mission to Pass The Peace! The TAKE 5: Stop the Violence\nCampaign is a behavioral science approach to what is\, at its root\, a behavioral health\nissue. The approach of Taking 5 is a simple hands-on way to begin the process of adjusting\nthe hardwired default settings in our communities from entitled reactivity to proactive\npeacekeeping – one person at a time – one situation at a time – one community at a time. In\nthe weeks and months to follow\, Berean will serve as a Peace destination for workshops and\nmeetings on anti-violence programs and services. Joining Cooper in this Campaign\nare Mothers In Charge\, Berean Presbyterian Church\, We Embrace Fatherhood\, Music Media\nMinistry\, AIB Marketing\, YHD Enterprises\, and Peace and Harmony Records. – more –\nCooper\, who is the Campaign Coordinator for the TAKE 5: Stop the Violence Campaign \, is a\nnouveau-spirit inspirational singer\, songwriter\, and producer whose work draws from the\nliturgical tradition and the improvisational freeform of Jazz. He is set to release his CD from\nPeace and Harmony Records\, entitled The Permanently Peaceful Project on the International\nDay of Peace\, September 21st. The project is a contemporary blend of jazz\, gospel\, neo-soul\nand spoken word artistry. A cut from the CD titled TAKE 5: Stop The Violence \, is a reframing\nof Dave Brubeck and Paul Desmond Jazz composition Take 5. That Campaign theme song will\nbe performed live along with other selections from the project at the event.\nCooper is the son of Rev. J. Jerome Cooper\, who pastored the Berean Presbyterian Church for\n33 years. He was nurtured by the concept of music as an instrument of healing and\nreconciliation. His worldwide view was shaped by the dual reality of growing up Black in the\nshadow of Philadelphia’s 1964 race riots and the influence of his father’s commitment to\nreaching across cultures and sectors to build bridges. It was his father’s dedication to\nrestoring a spirit of compassion and peace in the community and the world that has most\nimpacted the themes he explores in his music. Today\, Cooper is most passionate about using\nhis music as a tool to inspire others into examining solutions during these tumultuous times.\nFor Philly Pass The Peace Rally registration and information visit take5stoptheviolence.com .\n# # #
