Youth participating in their summer program created the art that will be displayed. \nThe Historical Society is partnering with Unique Dreams to provide a venue for their special events. Come early to picnic on the lawn or wander through the summer garden. Bring a blanket or lawn chair\, settle in\, and enjoy a delightful outdoor concert filled with wit\, whimsy\, and timeless melodies. \nPlease note: the rain date for this event is Sunday\, August 16. \nAbout the performers: \nFounded in 1901\, The Savoy Company is a Philadelphia-based 501(c)(3) non-profit theatrical organization that strives to promote community involvement and educational outreach while supporting eligible local charitable organizations through its annual production of one of thirteen extant works by Sir W.S. Gilbert and Sir Arthur S. Sullivan. \nSavoy’s membership represents a diverse group of volunteers drawn from the Greater Philadelphia area. We are committed to putting on the highest quality theatrical productions and sharing the artistic\, musical\, and cultural influences of Gilbert and Sullivan and their wonderful comic operas. \nThe Company offers opportunities for personal growth and community reinvestment for its members\, beneficiaries\, and audiences. Committee chairs and production staff are appointed each season by the sitting President.
