Be sure to wear sturdy footwear and long pants\, and remember to bring water with you. We encourage attendees to work within their own comfort level\, and we always strive to accommodate needs on an individual basis. With that being said\, this service day may include the following activities:\n• Trail work: using long-handled tools for scraping\, digging\, tamping\, and cutting; moving heavy objects\n• Planting site maintenance: using long handled tools for cutting\, scraping\, and digging\n• Invasive plant removal: bending over\, using long handled tools for cutting vines\n• Litter clean-up\nWe provide gloves\, tools\, and instruction–you just need to show up! Be sure to wear sturdy footwear and long pants\, and remember to bring water with you. With that being said\, this service day may include the following activities:\n• Trail work: using long-handled tools for scraping\, digging\, tamping\, and cutting; moving heavy objects\n• Plantings: bending over\, crouching/squatting\, carrying up to 20 lbs\, using long handled tools for digging\n• Planting site preparation: using long handled tools for cutting\, scraping\, and digging\n• Invasive plant removal: bending over\, using long handled tools for cutting vines\n• Drain-clearing: carrying and using long handled tools\n• Litter clean-up: carrying trash bags up to 20 lbs\, hiking up to 1.5 miles\, navigating rocky terrain\nWe provide gloves\, tools\, and instruction–you just need to show up!
