Children ages 8–11 can join Intro to Archery & Wilderness Survival on Thursdays\, Sept 25–Oct 30\, 2025\, from 4–6 PM\, where they’ll learn the basics of archery\, try their hand at carving\, cook over a campfire\, and practice core survival skills like foraging\, knot-tying\, shelter-building\, and first aid. For older adventurers ages 11–15\, the Intermediate Wilderness Survival program runs Tuesdays\, Sept 23–Oct 28\, 2025\, from 4–6 PM\, taking things to the next level with advanced archery drills\, tool carving\, matchless fire-starting\, cooking\, and more complex survival challenges. Both 6-week sessions meet at AdventureWoods\, 6060 Ardleigh St.\, and cost $150 ($140 for Member Families)\, with space limited to 16 participants per group.

DESCRIPTION:Handbuilding allows us to create almost anything we can imagine! Students will use handbuilding techniques to make unique and functional ceramic flower vases. Instruction will cover foundational handbuilding skills\, sculptural techniques\, and a variety of surface treatments & decorations. Students are welcome and encouraged to bring their own project ideas to class. This class is appropriate for a range of skill levels\, from beginner to advanced. Whether you are looking to establish fundamental techniques or explore the bounds of your creativity and imagination\, this class is for you! \n—— \nPlease note that this workshop takes place in the Utility Works basement\, which is only accessible via stairs. The class requires participants to be able to sit and/or stand for at least three hours and use their hands for two hours. You mustbe able to lift 25lbs.
