During this workshop\, we’ll make quick forays from Stoneleigh’s air-conditioned Pool House into the gardens\, noting the lush beauty of the plants in the height of the growing season. We’ll return to the oasis of the Pool House to write\, taking inspiration from the adjacent gardens\, which include bog gardens flanked by arborvitae\, white pines\, and hemlocks. Join us to revel in the final days of August with reading\, writing\, and some cool drinks.    \nAbout the instructor: Catherine Staples teaches creative writing in the English and honors programs at Villanova University. It is a celebration of self expression and self determination. This performance has a total runtime of thirty minutes and encompasses a brilliant cast of dancers who strengthen viewer’s understanding in addition to sharing a new perspective on empathy\,individuality\, and artistry.\nJade Chloe is an emerging artist whom currently trains through Philadelphia Ballet’s new Contemporary Division. She is formerly a graduate of Alvin Ailey’s high school program in collaboration with Professional Performing Arts School. At the Alvin Ailey school\, she studied ballet\, jazz\, and modern techniques such as graham and horton. Jade additionally trained at Steps on Broadway Academy after my afternoons at Alvin Ailey. During Jade Chloe’s junior year of highschool she pursued choreography through Dance Lab New York’s next gen Apprenticeship in the Spring of 2024. In addition to dance\, Jade is pursuing academic studies at Temple University where she will be a sophomore in the Fall of 2026.\nHer performance is heavily informed by her training at the School of Philadelphia Ballet. The show itself encompasses contemporary\, ballet\, jazz\, and modern influences and takes you on the journey of Jade’s life for the past year along with the soundtrack of that time.
