Guided walking tours will be at 11 am\, 12 pm\, and 1 pm\, lasting up to 90 mins. Self-guided tour options are also available for attendees who want to go at their own pace. New this year\, tourgoers can be part of a scavenger hunt! Hunt for items or questions to scout sustainable businesses along E. Passyunk. Along the way\, guests will be introduced to new businesses and business owners practicing sustainability. \nTours and hunts will make stops at various businesses along E. Passyunk. Tourgoers will hear from business owners at each visit and learn more about their sustainability practices while receiving samples and other special offers. These activities will feature sustainable businesses in the food\, fashion\, home goods\, wellness\, and lifestyle industries. \nAll tours and hunts will begin and end at the E. Passyunk Singing Fountain\, Passyunk Ave.\, and 11th St.

This social hike series is a great way to get out on the trails and meet new people over cold drinks at Parks on Tap in Fairmount Park. Parks on Tap is a popular traveling beer garden that visits the city’s various neighborhood parks. Proceeds benefit Fairmount Park Conservancy and the Park Friends Network. \n2023 TRAILS TO ALES SERIES:  \nThursday\, June 8 from 5:30-7:30 @ Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center – with a special tour inside the gates of Shofuso Japanese House & Garden\, followed by a hike into Landsdowne Glen led by Beth Yount\, Master Watershed Steward Coordinator with Penn State Extension in Philadelphia. Beth will discuss the ecology of the glen\, with a focus on Lansdowne Creek and connected watersheds. John Sigmund will share some historical information about the area\, particularly its transformation from an 18th century colonial mansion to the site of one of the most remarkable events in 19th century America: the 1876 Centennial Exposition. \n\nMEET AT: Across from the entrance to the Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center – Lansdowne & Horticultural Drive\, Philadelphia PA 19131\n\n\nThursday\, July 13 from 5:30-8:00 pm @ Belmont Plateau – with a loop hike through the Trolley Trail to see plenty of old bridges\, tunnels\, and other hidden gems of old train infrastructure that gave the trail its namesake \n\nMEET AT: Belmont Plateau in front of the parking lot – 1800 Belmont Mansion Dr\, Philadelphia\, PA 19131\n\n\nThursday\, August 10 from 6:00-8:00 pm @ Lemon Hill  – with a short hike on the Lemon Hill Trail and a special tour inside Lemon Hill Mansion to see the progress of recent renovations undertaken by the City. \n\nMEET AT: Driveway entrance/info sign for Lemon Hill Mansion – Lemon Hill Dr\, Philadelphia\, PA 19130\n\n\n\nThursday\, September 28 from 5:00-7:00 pm @ Strawberry Mansion Bridge – with a hike on portions of East Park’s Boxer’s Trail and West Park’s Trolley Trail\, ending with a stunning sunset view from the iconic Strawberry Mansion Bridge. \n\nMEET AT: Woodford Mansion – 2300 N 33rd St\, Philadelphia\, PA 19132\n\n\nTICKET PRICES: Pay what you can – $15\, $20\, or $25\n[ Not sure what to pay? DESCRIPTION:Ethos Farm Project is a 501 c3\, non-profit founded to address the interconnected nature of how agriculture affects human health\, planetary health\, and our relationship with nature. We do so by producing truly nourishing food to feed our community and restoring the land – all while cultivating and empowering a new generation of farmers\, physicians and health & wellness lifestyle coaches through our hands-on educational programming. \nTo help us achieve our mission and vision\, we host an annual Farm Days Festival at our beautiful 342 acre farm in bucolic Long Valley\, NJ. This year Farm Days Festival will be on Sept 9th and 10th\, 2023. It will be a weekend of insight and inspiration provided by a stellar list of guest speakers: Peter Singer\, Rich Roll\, Drs Dean and Ayesha Sherzai\, Dr Meagan Grega\, Dr Columbus Batiste\, Sara Farley – Vice President\, Global Food Portfolio at the Rockefeller Foundation\, Bob Quinn – Founder of Kamut grain and author of bestselling book: Grain to Grain\, and Dr Weiss. They will talk about plant-based nutrition\, environmental health and animal advocacy\, and will discuss how our diets not only affect our health but also the health of the planet. Brittany Jaroudi of the Jaroudi Family will conduct cooking demos as well as nice cream making and art sessions to engage kids while the parents listen to our inspiring speakers. \nThe two-day event will end with a panel discussion and audience Q&A session on the “Ethics of Eating” theme which will be moderated by Andrew Chignell – Professor at Princeton with appointments in religion and philosophy and co-producer of a massive Open Online course for EdX.org entitled\, “The Ethics of Eating”.
