On view at the Center for Art & Social Engagement in Westby Hall from October 4 through December 21, Gaia Theory, an exhibition of Emily Erb’s collage and silk paintings. Erb embeds within the boundaries of a larger-than-life human form, navigational charts such as road, topography, and war campaign maps to represent the different facets of the human physiological system. Road maps become the nervous system, topographical maps become the circulatory system, and war maps become the lymphatic system. Meet at the Kiosk at Forbidden Drive and Northwestern Ave. Join us for our second seasonal walk through Andorra’s forest, meadow, and hillside trails. Expanded views of the terrain are possible once the leaves have fallen, making this early December walk a favorite. As we walk up to the meadow, the changing features of the Treehouse, food forest, and frog pond will be noted.
