FABSCRAP needs your help to save designer textiles from landfills! It's easy to learn, fun to do, and a safe way to help out.FABSCRAP Philly needs your help to save designer textiles from landfill! First Friday Stakeholder Tour

Join us for a guided tour of Tacony Creek Park. Our First Friday tour series is intended to introduce community stakeholders and partner organizations to the park, trail and creek, demonstrating the natural beauty of this under appreciated community green space, noting the challenges of this urban watershed park and talking through strategies for rallying support for this incredible community asset. We will meet at the northernmost end of the trail. We will walk south to the end of the trail and have vehicles staged to return our guests to our starting point. Greenhouse Volunteer Day

Health reminders: We are in accordance with Pennsylvania and the City of Philadelphia’s current COVID-19 response levels. Please follow the link to stay up-to-date on our city’s protocols. If you are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, please do not volunteer. Volunteers will assist with weeding and potting plants for our greenhouse and nursery. Volunteers will have the opportunity see what is growing behind the scenes and help support the nursery operations. Registered volunteers will meet at the Sankofa Community Farm promptly at 2 PM. Staff will escort you to the greenhouse from the farm and provide instructions and safety protocols

Parents and Teens Mind& Wellness series: Mindful Parenting Time

Our mind & body wellness program series with the Family Practice and Counseling Network (FPCN)  is back! Come rest and revitalize your physical and mental with moments of mindfulness, meditation, and group yoga in the Garden. No registration is required and all abilities are welcome! Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat, as well as a small and large towel (a limited amount of extras are available on-site). Classes will be held outside unless there is extreme heat or rain.
