Composting: How to Turn Your Trash to Treasure

Turn your household garbage and yard waste into soil and fertilizer for your garden and houseplants. Learn different techniques to do this yourself, even in small spaces; play with worms, and take home a sample of compost tea.
This workshop will be led by the amazing Sally McCabe, Associate Director of Community Education for PHS. Sally has been playing with both garbage and worms for almost 50 years, and doesn’t fear either!
Registration closes at noon on the day of the event, or prior if the class sells out. If you would like to attend after registration has closed, please send an email to kkapoano@pennhort.org and we’ll check to see if we can accommodate. If you need to cancel, please make sure to do so 48 hours in advance of the event so we can issue a refund.
Please note: this garden serves alcohol so a valid, physical state issued ID is required to enter. Anyone under 21 is welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
