Big Rocks and Big Trees Part 4 with Lisa Myers

Crefeld Street Trailhead at Lavender Trail
This hike will take us into a quieter area of the park where we will loop through the Lavender and Orange Trails and some connector trails in between. We will see big Birches, Oaks and Tulip trees. Our route will take us along one of the more scenic and interesting tributaries into the Wissahickon where we will cross the creek to examine an interesting rock exposure on the other side. Expect some terrain changes and an obvious creek crossing if it is safe to do so. Please leave dogs and children at home. Service animals always welcome. This hike concludes the Big Rocks Big Trees series of hikes.
Distance: 2.5 miles
Level: Moderate (some inclines and declines, uneven surfaces)
Registration is required for all hikes so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations. We ask all event attendees to bring a mask and mask up if a distance of six feet cannot be maintained during the activity. Unless otherwise specified, Trail Ambassador Walks may be on rocky, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery. Wear sturdy shoes or boots with socks.
