Two ways to tell the Cobbs Creek Foundation and the City of Philadelphia what you think

Start

Want to get involved with advocacy around the Cobbs Creek Golf Course development? Two opportunities are coming up this month:

First, the Cobbs Creek Foundation, which is the nonprofit developing the golf courses, is holding a town hall Zoom meeting on May 18 at 7 p.m..:

The Cobbs Creek Foundation (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization), would like to provide you a comprehensive update on the plans for the restoration of the Golf Course and construction of the upcoming Education and Community Engagement Center. We invite our neighbors to partner with the Cobbs Creek Education and Community Engagement Team to share your thoughts and feedback during our second community town hall on Wednesday, May 18th, at 7pm.

In addition to sharing project updates, we encourage you to please send any questions before the meeting to community@cobbscreek.org.

Register in advance for this meeting: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZYpcuiurjIsH9JJLCX5-fHURUv5ok5pQxQI

Second, City Council is holding a public testimony session about the fiscal year 2023 budget on May 24 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.:

Speakers interested in making public testimony virtually should call 215-686-3407 or email Budget.Hearings@phila.gov by 3 p.m. on the day prior to the public testimony session at which they wish to speak and submit the following information:

Full name
Callback telephone number where you can be reached
Identify the bill number or resolution number or numbers that will be addressed.

Members of the public will present their testimony over the phone. If you sign up by email, be sure to state in both the subject heading and the body of the email that this is for the May 24 Budget Hearing.

  1. Those are the stock instructions from the city council website, but apparently people have been successfully signing up to testify by just referring to the budget hearings on that date.

  2. Greetings, your decision to butcher our beautiful old trees is a detestable one. How could you be so cruel? How very behind the times can a department be? You are fired! Thank you, Kathleen Card
